Update : watched all 13 epis in one go and fell in love with the show and how it is dealing with the issue . How men like ammar kill a girl's esteem and confidence and alienate her from her own parents and froends by being extra sweet to them but leave not a sec to insult and humiliate her in front of all in name of mazaak every single day of her life . Very dofferently dealt it is raising the questions so nicely and isn't tpo extra sobby or preachy like most shows get. I like ammar's woke cousin atleast she has the gits to keep calling his bullshit and narcissim. She sees how he keeps humiliating his wife who is an acheiver (college topper) BEAUTIFUL and all other things. Lovely show. And by god ammar is such a grade a jerk but ali is so charming in and suave that at start you are like ok come on let it go but then it started being so impossible to bare how he is ripping her apart in name of husband ki khwahishein and needs and wants and how not even once has he ever behaved like a husband. Pehle minatein kar kar ke peeche padke shaadi karwayi when she wasn't even intrested as such and then not even once has he appreciated her. Also the whole our beta to is heera thing and not one person calls him out is so real and scary. They have aided and made him into this next level narcissist and they stilll keep going oh our beta is only mazakaiyan and he says everything as a joke like really?

I do like his father though who tries hos best to call him out jitna bhi he gets time lol. Also her parents are a disgrace in name if parents but then can't really blame them either they see the extra sweet damaad around her and who pretends to be nicest tot hem and all but then when they're lonely constantly jataooes his ehsaaan and call them stupid and dumb and backbite them to theor daughters. Good come back from sanam as if she never took the break and now i am all sucked into this show

I hope amaar gets sudhrofoed at some point as am not really a fan of the other lead actor the humdard she has found but then he is a much bettet human/character and ot goes with the theme that looks aren't everything. Amaar is so proud of his looks but he has a bhaddi personality where he deems everyone as not equal to him . Gahhh a good show do watch i want to talk more theor is lot of material and after ages i watched a pakistani show with this intensity and dedication lol

Namit Khanna will soon be seen playing the role of Dr Sid in the show Sanjivani 2. The show will see him opposite Surbhi Chandna, who was last seen in Ishqbaaaz. The show is currently one of the most anticipated ones and well, for all the right reasons. It is the third instalment to Sanjivani: The Medical Boom. In an exclusive interview with PINKVILLA, Namit revealed his reaction when he was offered Sanjivani, his experience shooting with an ensemble cast, his recent comment on dealing with Shivika fans and working with Surbhi. Excerpts from the interview:

Producer Siddharth P Malhotra had recently said he was always certain of you playing Sid on the show. What was your reaction when he approached you for Sanjivani 2?

This was in September 2018 when I was in Ladakh after completing my show, Sid sir couldn't get through and asked me to meet him when I return. After that, he auditioned me a couple of times and then said, 'we are on'. For me, when I heard of Sanjivani, of course, I remembered it but I didn't have exact memories of it. Firstly, I felt an instant connect with Sid sir. For me, it is very important to work with people I can relate to because it is a relationship that you share with them. Then I got to know about the character. I always want to play characters which are real. I know on Television it is very difficult to get real characters but when you do, you grab it and so I grabbed it. That is what it was for me. I was getting a lot of offers then but nothing struck a chord with me but when I heard about Sanjivani, I was sold from day 1. Of course, after that, there was a wait of 7-8 months which was a bit disheartening because I was like what is happening? Is it happening? But, then I knew on TV it takes time for a project to take off.

It is an ensemble cast including veteran actors like Mohnish Bahl and extremely talented ones like Gurdeep Kohli, Surbhi Chandna and others. How has the experience been so far?

Of course, Mohnish Ji brings in the weight of his experience with him. I was sharing this with someone actually that for me, I see the relationship between him and me as that of father and son, though the dynamic is very different on the show. However, in my heart, I have already accepted the relationship to be that of father and son. It is a very comfortable relationship, I have even joked with him a couple of times and then I am like 'oh sh*t, yeh toh senior hai, maybe I shouldn't have said it' and then Mohnish sir made me comfortable. There is no intimidation. With Gurdeep Ji too, I admire here. She is so pretty and talented. It is a privilege to be surrounded by them.

What about Shivika fans? We read your comment where you said, 'you will have to deal with Surbhi fans who want to see him with Nakuul only?'

There is nothing like that. Honestly, I am completely indifferent. I know Nakuul really well, in fact, he is the one I go to take advice from. He is like a brother.

Surbhi is a ball of energy on sets. Have you been exposed to that side of her?

I have been seeing it. Right now I am in my observant stage where I am learning and getting used to everyone. I am also like the least experience amongst all of them so I am taking it a little easy. Initially, I was a bit concerned about if I will be able to do it the right way. There was confusion between how Sid Sir had visioned my character and how it comes down to the creative level, then the director team and then how it came on sets. Later, Sid sir told me this is not how it is. We changed the 'sur' of the character initially while we were setting the character. Now, I feel much better and relaxed, of course. With Surbhi, I see her, the way she works and how she is, and it's cool.

About the characters on screen?

Sid and Ishani are the same people as characters on the show who follow the path of Mohnish Bahl's character but there is a conflict in opinion. At the same time, I am senior to her, there are fun scenes because of that. Later, you will see the characters develop and set the tone.

Are you nervous?

To be honest, I am not. I am trying to not to take the pressure, I have already enough on my plate to get into the character, and develop and understand the different relationships with characters. It is a team effort after all. There are a lot of people working on it. If I take the pressure, I don't think I will be able to work.

On a parting note, he said, "The name Sanjivani in itself is so gratifying. When the title track played on the sets, I could feel the warmth within. For me, it is a new show."

They are trying so hard to pitch it as armaan ridhima 2 and well i am not intrested in that.

Lol dunno if it’s trying to sell it as AR or just general Cinevistaas PR levels. HC was also shirtless 90% of time in BP scenes it seems like 🙄😂.

Lol umeed toh yahan bhi koi nahi thi but this is disaster way worse than DMG too. Really what kind of doctors are these. Everyone looks so bakwaas and the show looks like dhinku ka rishtedaar only in tackiness and trying hard. Sc seems like a bit restricted or trying to tone down to give it a different feel but all her efforts are going tonwaste esp with NK opposite to her who is just like a nobody here really we are supposed to like this thanda couple? Not many placed their bets on Star Plus' now-popular show, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala when it came on-air. However, the next thing we know hat all those people who doubted the same were wronged entirely with the massive success of the show. The Aakriti Sharma-Mohit Malik-Anjali Anand starrer recently completed over a year of runtime and continues to run stronger than ever.

And it seems the producers want to make the most of this success expanding the Kullfi Kumarr universe. According to recent reports, the show is all set to have a spin-off soon.

Yes. That's right. It is being said that the spin-off will have protagonists in the form of two grown-up girls who would be as different as chalk and cheese in behavior and attitude. The trend of having spin-off shows began on Indian TV a while ago but has picked up only a couple of years ago owing to the mammoth success of Kundali Bhagya and Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke.

The work for the spin-off has seemingly already begun and the main plotline is being worked upon.

I always find it amusing ki when I give regard and consideration to a show in its early days in a forum, so many ppl comment about what they don’t like, what’s wrong etc.

And by the time I run out of patience with the show, the same ppl get attached to the show and start making excuses to justify its lameness. Lol attachment works in funny ways.

In KHKT, the scenes between the leads right now are all either screaming “nok jhonk” or random eye locks. Conversations hoti bhi hain toh they are so cloying in how supposedly a deep “friendship” has developed simply over randomly talking about their pasts. Sonakshi is hadh level ki Aunty about everything. And ppl still say these two have a “natural dynamic” 🤷‍♀️ Lol

Rest of the show is still about justifying how ppl secretly love and get attached to absolutely trashy soaps. Rather than striking a balance, it’s still projected as oh ppl secretly love drama and apply show logic in real life 🙄🙄.

The family characters are also blahh but for some reason ppl feel that KHKT is “back” now. Lol
