That's the thing - a person can't be "good" 24/7. We all have our ups and downs. Sometimes we get too caught up in our emotions and behave in a way that under cooler circumstances, we may not.
It's the exact same thing with HS. Thus far, we have only seen him as this nearly perfect man but we forget that there was a period in his life when he wasn't perfect. While growing up, he too, used to believe that women are meant to be at men's feet. He too, had abusive inclinations and if it was any other woman than Imarti, he would have acted upon those violent tendencies. However, those faults were improved upon. He learnt for the better and mended his ways. That to me makes him a great man. He knows his weaknesses. He doesn't shy away from the fact that he had a horrible attitude towards women or was an absolute failure when it came to protecting his mother. But despite those weaknesses, he attempts to do better through his service.
In a way, I'm glad that there are still so many layers left to unfold and discover in HS. If he was a "perfect" man through and through, I would have been left a little disappointed cuz then he wouldn't be a real person. He would simply be a fantasy.
Well said, completely agree. Especially the bit about not wanting him to be a mere fantasy.
