My dialect is... a little hard to explain Billi, but I'll try :p
..The dialect I and my parents speak would fall under Hyderabadi Telugu.. But our dialect is also more inclined towards Telangana Telugu and has a tinge of that Old City flavor.. it's not the Hyderabadi Telugu that say, people who have their roots in Andhra region speak..
Dakkhani Urdu is spoken in Muslim pockets of Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar and surrounding areas (IDK about other districts).. and this Dakkhani Urdu is also very slightly different from the slang spoken by people from Old City.. My grandparents speak that raw Telangana dialect and their vocabulary is heavily influenced by (Dakkhani) Urdu, I have been thinking about this, and it feels like almost 40-50% of their language is full of Urdu..
Gosh dialects are hard to dissect and understand, especially for me who has no proper knowledge of any language 😆
