that is fascinating....urdu itself has influences from different languages i.e. farsi arabic and sanskrit

its a beautiful language for sure...thanks for sharing this fact

ya I now wish Urdu was an option for second language in our school curriculum atleast in my region. :)

My dialect is... a little hard to explain Billi, but I'll try :p

..The dialect I and my parents speak would fall under Hyderabadi Telugu.. But our dialect is also more inclined towards Telangana Telugu and has a tinge of that Old City flavor.. it's not the Hyderabadi Telugu that say, people who have their roots in Andhra region speak..

Dakkhani Urdu is spoken in Muslim pockets of Hyderabad, Warangal, Karimnagar and surrounding areas (IDK about other districts).. and this Dakkhani Urdu is also very slightly different from the slang spoken by people from Old City.. My grandparents speak that raw Telangana dialect and their vocabulary is heavily influenced by (Dakkhani) Urdu, I have been thinking about this, and it feels like almost 40-50% of their language is full of Urdu..

Gosh dialects are hard to dissect and understand, especially for me who has no proper knowledge of any language 😆

hyderabadis use h a lot

for example they will say kheema instead of qeema

every area...region has its uniqueness

many years back i was a bad person lol...i use to dislike these things...in bollywood and indian programs use to hate use of jindagi instead of zindagi..hated punjabi

then i realized i was acting elitist and arrogant and considering myself as special ..

which was wrong ...just because one does not speak like u does not make them any less..

i change totally and now i embrace everything including food...language

however i use it for joke teasing but serious pain is gone lol

time sorted me out

Have you tried South Indian food yet? You should try and let me know, I have a feeling you won't like it. Just want to confirm it.

People down south pronounce it that way not only hyderabad. Like for example suppose name is anita they will write or pronounce as anitha.
