Ankie, She knows nothing about him yet. All she knows is that she came to this man for help and made her sacrifice everything in return. Yes in future it is good for her but wounds do take time to heal.

I partly agree to that, he did follow that with a sacrificial proposal. Plus at that time he did not do anything to make her think that he is a good guy. Infact, he never pretends to be that.
