Raman is very much alive. He is being drugged by Arijit because of which he is always unconscious.

Ishita and Mani are confident that Raman is alive and someone has perhaps kidnapped him. Ishita realises that someone is trying to create problems in their lives. So she decides to act like she has lost her sanity so that the Bhallas can put her in an asylum, the one where her friend is the superintendent, from where Ishita would escape and go on a search for Raman. This way, whoever is holding Raman captive would be unaware of the fact that Ishita knows about the kidnapping.
