Look at how Eng team batted 2nd against Aus. They reached their TARGET 226/2 in 32.1 overs..

They played initial 20 overs like a T20 match.. By 19 overs into the match Eng was 150+ runs..

This is WHAT Indian Cricket team has to LEARN!!! That is Do not play too many dot balls in the beginning.. as middle is unable to do anything in the last 10 overs with very high run rate..

also would have helped if we had restricted NZ to the same total that eng did to aus. we too had NZ at a similar position. If we had picked up more wickets in later middle over they wouldnt have been free to hit so much.

they played too many dot balls pant & hardik. the batsmen before them dint play only so cant include them. Even yuvraj was tweeting that singles were needed and thats what experienced batsmen do take singles and rotate strike & dont let runrate go too high. The reason why dhoni had to come up the order at 5 or 6. he cannot hit the big shots now but still is v good at rotating strike & taking singles
