Naina was sitting the college waiting impatiently for her best friend Labhya.
"Roz to time pe aati hai aaj kya huva , aaj chuti to nahi maari usne. Uska gift kaise doungi? " Naina said to herself.
"Hiiiiiii Meri jaan " Wait kar rahi thi kya ?? Labhya came and hugged her
"Aayi ab Madam , kyun itna late huva ? Kab se wait kar rahi thi . " Naina said a bit agitated
"Aayi to sahi na , la mera gift , kahan hai ?? "
" Kitni Besharm hai tu, sidhe sidhe gift maangti hai , pehle wish to karne de " . Hugging Labhya tightly Naina said
" Happy Birthday Dear and handed her "Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie and The Dairy of Anna Frank " .
"Best Friends se kaisi sharm ?, waise books ki choice acchi hai , warna aaj to tera khoon ho jata " Labhya said looking at the books .
"Haan tujhse aur umeed kar bhi kya sakti houn mai, baad mein padh lena chal canteen se kuch sweet khatein hai thoda tera birthday celebrate karte hai.
"Ab best friend banayi hai to jhel mujhe " saying this both the girls headed to canteen , on the way they saw Kamya ghushing about Sameer to Swati.
"Yeh logoun ko Sameer mein itna kyun interest hai? , aur waise bhi yeh love shav apne dimag mein ghusta nahi . Pata nahi in ladkiyoun kya interest hai " Labhya commented on the way..
"Maine dekha hai tere bhi gaal laal hotein hai usko dekh kar " Naina teased her.
" Mere gaal hi nahi naak bhi laal hoti hai , par usko dekh kar nahi mai houn hi Laal , Samjhi ! . BTW tujhe woh kuch zyada hi nahi dekhta ?? . Maine dekha hai class mein tujhe dekhtein huve ?? Labhya retorted.
"Chal ab yeh sab kya topic pe baat kar rahein hai . ?? Next class ka time ho jayega chal ek pastry lekar khake aate hai. " After enjoying the sweet they both headed to the class.
During Lunch break , Tujhse kuch maangna hai , maangoun ?? " Labhya asked.
"Dekh maine Harry Potter ki series di hai aur Mockingjay ki bhi ab nahi dougni kuch bhi , jab tak mai nahi padti " Naina said to Labhya.
Sameer who was listening to this conversation said " Mere pass Percy Jackson ki series hai , Chahiye . tum mujhe Mockingjay dena "
Looking at the puzzled look he continued "Tum dono ko kya lagta hai ek tumhi bibliophile ho ? Mujhe bhi books collect karna aur padhna accha lagta hai " He went on with the list of books he had. As they say birds of the same feather flock together , the three went on with the discussion on their never ending love for the books.
Labhya then suggested to both Sameer and Naina , aaj sham mein tum dono mere ghar aana hum saath mein "The Nun " dekhenge .
Naina hearing this said " Naa baba Naa , ek tu hi hai duniya mein jo raat ko light band karke akele horror movies dekh sakti hai, mai to kaan band karke bhi din mein na dekhoun " Naina backed out . Sameer looking at Naina's expression laughed and then he joined with Labya to pull her leg.
Atlast Labya resorted to emotional blackmail " Mera Birthday hai aur tu meri itni choti si wish bhi poori nahi kar sakti .. " making a sad face
"Dram queen hai tu sabse badi " Naina relented atlast.
" I loveeee you my dearest friend " hugging her tightly . Aaj Mama naa favorite noodles bhi banaye hai aur teen milke noodles khate khate yeh movie dekhenge.
Naina made a silent prayer to her God " Bacha lena in dono se and us Nun Se" .
Her birthday marked the beginning of a new friendship .
