Feels like some of the people in this thread are projecting what they have experienced in real life onto this film which is totally unnecessary. But thanks to this kind of discussion, the film is getting crazy numbers and viewership. Like someone pointed out, if someone has the MCP tendencies they will pick that up and carry it forward. Most indian men have that outlook so there are such videos being put out. I'm just very sorry that India has such kind of society where one can't differentiate a movie with real life and how all films have to represent only nice guys in the future, else, the society will follow through.

You are talking as in the godfathers in India get punished for the so called strict laws. We know very well that how the laws work here. It's weird to see the way people leave no bounds to prove some acts as domestic violence are the same people who defend another movie that have murder, robbery etc. just because the Godfathers do that. I have no bitterness towards movies like 'The Godfather', but had such movies gotten released in India in this recent timeline then certainly bunch of people would argue telling that people would be inspired to get associated with the underworld dons more and more, in fact those critics would even claim that such movies would inspire people to become a godfather in future.

Visual media does influence people and there have been studies to show that crimes have increased world over due to the content shown in T. V., movies, etc.

I am disappointed to see a movie like Kabir Singh do well. I am not a Shahid fan or hater. Cinema is such a powerful medium and should be used well. Kabir Singh and the like movies irrespective of the stars should not even be entertainment in this day and age. When is Bollywood going to make movies like Inception or Shutter Island? Thought provoking, entertaining movies.. Not for a long time, I guess.. Kabir Singh's phenomenal success is going to lead to a surge in these kind of movies.. Feeling sorry for the girls who are going to have to put up with a lot more harassment as KS's behavior seems to be 'cool' now, especially seeing the thread video and the number of likes it got..
