Kalyani and Malhar - Character Analysis

Today's episode showed the maturity level of both Kalyani and Malhar

Kalyani:

Unlike daily soap heroines, Kalyani is mature and she can be associated with the real world. Kalyani didn't shy away from the physical relationship and didn't create hype before initiating it with Malhar. Though, Malhar didn't perform the deed. She herself took an initiative and tried to woo him which is very different from other daily soap protagonists. She made arrangements and planned to have special moments with him. The CVs didn't show her preparation as she did a big sacrifice to provide him with physical satisfaction. (something like dil par patthar). She wants him to be hers only. She loves him and she can go extent to keep him with her without giving a second thought.

Malhar:

I loved Malhar's reaction. He was so cute in today's episode.

Coming on the moonlight scene, Malhar understood what Kalyani want and why. I loved when he accepted that he loves her and his realisation appeared very naturally in the show without useless segments and scenes. Moreover, he assured Kalyani that they will have a husband-wife relationship when the time will be right. I respected him when he agreed to wait for her feelings for him (though she already loves him. Her desperation for him, her suicidal thoughts when she was to be married to Atharv and her habit of thinking about him before her like coming in his way whenever he was to be injured are clear pieces of evidence of it). He didn't insult her by refusing but explained the reason behind it. Keeping aside his male ego, he wants to be recognised as her husband.

Thanks to THR team for creating the characters of Kalyani and Malhar and thanks to Sehban and Reem for playing Malhar and Kalyani efficiently, perfectly and realistically.

Kalyani is in love with Malhar but her young age and wierd antics of comparing real life with movies is so rightfully potrayed. She is exactly how a quirky teen of he age would be. When she prepared and did all the decorations, it showed her maturity but with a tinge of naivete. She is how a woman her age would be and that is very well written by the CVs.

Malhar I can't even begin to describe today's scene. He stole my heart with his matured act. He gained a lot more respect from all of us today.

You know Anna what I loved most about Kalyani today is accepting the physical relationship as a normal part of life. She didn't scare away or felt uncomfortable like today's 18 yr old girls.

18 years specify an individual as an adult and they are liberal to take decisions of their life. Kalyani decided to involve in the act and was confident about it. She was even persuading Malhar till the end.

Malhar was today's limelight. I loved him today and have no words to describe how amazing he was. He assured her and motivated her to focus on study and he will take care of rest including their life.

Malhar has finally redeemed himself. I liked that he was willing to take full responsibility for her life. He acknowledged that because of his anger he forced her to change a lot and it almost ruined her studies and career. Now, he doesn't want her to be just a house wife to fulfill his physical needs and take care of his son. He wants her to be more successful than even him. He can't change the past but he is willing to atone for his actions by giving her the best life he possibly can. He doesn't want to be another Athrava and ruin her life and potential. He is so in love with her, it would desvestate him if he did that to her. But he doesn't want her to succumb to any sort of pressure to realize her feelings for him or to move to next step in their relationship. That's why he's not confessing his love. He's giving her the space she needs to grow and discover herself and her feelings. He handled the entire situation with a lot of love and maturity.

Kalyani has a huge crush on Malhar. I've realized this for a while. Its interesting because she has had a crush on him for a lot longer than he has, but his discovered the extend of his feelings a lot quicker. She will too in due time. And once she proves that she can handle her studies and career along with her marital life, he'll be okay will proceeding forward.

I am glad they are exploring their Relationship and just because they are married they are not justifying the concept of a 18 year fulfilling marital duties but instead is been groomed for a career and have ambition. She is being shouldered with responsibility of not only fulfilling her father's but also her Husband's pride. I want to congratulate the entire team of THR and SehReem for this beautiful and memorable episode 😁 Finally a positive message on ITV and was a benchmark episode ❤

You are absolutely right. Physical relationship is not potrayed as something normal in any show I have watched and the girl is usually naive or shying away from it. But Kalyani was okay with it and like you said she was trying to pursue Malhar till the end. And Malhar our sweet gentleman (I seriously am in love with this man) was understanding and wanted his wife to have a stand in the society as an individual. His confessions or should I say near on confessions on love was like icing on cake.
