Dear SH plz accept ppl do get influenced by movies. India me aise log kut kut ke bhare he. In newspapers daily u will see this. .. people try to copy sequences or copy creepy AF proposal techniques from movie and try them in real life.

Although m not saying Kabir singh should hv done this or that as its showing a character type but people shouldn't consider him to be a real hero ir something, which they do.

YOU may not copy him but some naive guy who is immature would. So this " i dont do it so nobody will do it " .. doesn't work here.

Kabir was NEVER shown as a positive or good character. The film never told people to be like him. The guy lost his love, was thrown out of his house and lost his job. He went on a downward spiral BECAUSE HE WAS WRONG. His behavior was never justified, encouraged or labelled as right. Even his friend, brother and people close to him constantly told him not to do these things.

Why would anyone watch this film and want to do what he does? if anyone does that then that's just dumb. People who have such concerns should stop watching movies and TV shows then.

Did the amount of drug addicts increase after Sanju? Did the amount of school fights increase after SOTY-2? Did the amount of murders increase after Badla?

Stop blaming films for people who cant use their own brain. If people never did these things it wouldn't be shown in movies. Where do you think these ideas come from?

Our society is filled with nut jobs like Kabir. This movie isn't inspiring people to act like him but it is justifying actions of such aggressive dil phenk aashiqs. These people don't even know that harrassing a girl just because they have a crush on her is wrong. Their justification is "Rape to nahi kia na". This movie is as toxic as Tere Naam.

But if he takes the knife out to scare her into doing something she doesn't want to , consent goes out of the window, and he is the "sole" perpetrator of a sexual assault. The girl is the victim irrespective of her sexual history or profession. If she is being blamed for whatever happens to her, because she invited him for sex, that's victim shaming.

A man can be a gigolo or a woman can be a prostitute, and they might not be "innocent lambs" because of their professions, but they also have a right to withdraw consent anytime.

(And on a side note: being "aroused" isn't always an indicator of consensual sex btw, One can have an orgasm even during a rape.)

I just wonder what would happen if 'The Godfather' had released in Bollywood instead, especially in this decade. Then the viewers would slam the movie forth and back coz of its story. They would claim that people could become Mafia don after watching this movie and also could assume that the rate of murders would become higher after its release. There is a reason for a film to get acclaimed. A movie gets appreciated coz of the way the story is portrayed, the way the audience get connected to the emotion, and the way every protagonist makes each of their characters alive. All I can say that when I watched Kabir Singh movie, I could connect myself with the emotions of the characters and how they have had been going through. That’s where the writer did a fabulous job to portray the whole story.

I think anyone can pick out anything from any movie and say its politically incorrect and sends out the wrong message. Its just need to separate real from reel. 😊
