I had no idea about this. I just googled it and read the article.

He is a psycho. He said the character Ayan was him. He made this movie inspired by his own heartbreak. So that would make Alizeh, Twinkle. As long as I know He loved her but she never reciprocate. So by that line did he wanted Twinkle to die because she didn't love her. He even killed Tina's character in KKHH. And that character was based on Twinkle. He really didn't get over her rejection.
