Mehek looked at her reflection in the mirror. She wore a high waist jean and a crop top. She thought of Shaurya's words. 'Not too revealing'. She wore a jacket above it and it looked perfect. Shaurya had a good choice she had to agree. Mehek curled her hair open and applied a tint of lip balm. She was ready.
They both arrived at the party. He did not complement her but neither did he complain. He wore a ripped jean with a simple white shirt. He looked dashing. He introduced her to some of his friends. He brought some drinks for her but she refused as she didn't drink alcohol he too chose not to drink as he was driving. The party was soon getting boring. "Let's go somewhere else" Shaurya suggested. "As you wish" Mehek replied.
They were walking down the dock land and there stood a tall, white ,luxury yacht. He owned it probably. Shaurya helped Mehek in and saw the look on her face she was so exited just like a kid. The view was perfect. Late night and away from the city, under the moonlight. Best way to relax.
Mehek stood near the railing feeling the air touching her face. "You wanna steer?" Shaurya asked. "Who?me?no!no!" She laughed. "I learned to steer this thing when I was 10. You should try " He said proudly. "We don't wanna end up like titanic. So ,NO!" Mehek laughed. He chuckled too.
A few days later. The Same drama continued. Shaurya and Mehek were like friends now. Every girl was jealous of Mehek. Nobody even knew about Mehek but she became the talk of the town. Mehek felt awkward when she got all the stares.
Sonal and Nehal too liked Shaurya. They four were a squad. They stayed with each other all the time. Sonal and Nehal suggested that they go for a camping trip . Shaurya was immediate to suggest a place. Near a lake. In the mountains, there was a cottage where they could stay for a night and the place was just a 4 hour drive from their town. Sonal said that it would be great if took out our camper tents rather than staying at a cottage. It was a good idea though. Everybody agreed to it.
Shaurya picked up all of them from their houses. He had come prepared. He brought his SUV equipped with all the functions for off roading. They stopped by Walmart to buy tents and food for the road trip and canned food for the night fire. Mehek and Shaurya went to buy food and Sonal and Nehal for the tents.
They came back with sleeping bags instead. "We thought it would be much fun " they grinned.
They had an amazing road trip. They were chatting all the way, listening to music and eating chips all the way to the camp sight. Shaurya got the car off road "Brace yourselves ladies" he said and raced his car on the rocky surface. They reached near the lake. Where they set their camp for the day. Shaurya lit the bonfire while the girls set up the sleeping bags and prepared food.
"Let's play truth and dare" Nehal suggested. "Let's start with me. I choose truth"
"Tell me the name of your crush" Shaurya asked.
"Uh...its Vikram. I don't know his full name. I see him everyday in the art class" she said dreamily and showed them the picture. Everybody cringed at her.
"Really? Vikram. WTH." Shaurya started laughing. "Hey,he's not that bad" Nehal said. "I mean what do you even like in him" he asked while grinning. "He is very kind and polite. The other day I bumped into him and he helped me pick up my scattered papers. He was so helpful." She said blushing. "Oh my god. I don't believe it. You know what?! He's my brother." Shaurya disclosed. All were shocked but he then cleared that he was his cousin but he is like a real brother to him cause his parents got divorced and his father got his custody and he lives with them.
"Okay. Now my turn." Said Sonal. "Dare" she chose. "Jump into the lake with your clothes on." Nehal said. "It's too cold." She whined. "You have to do it" Nehal said. Sonal ran towards the lake and splash** she jumped into the cold water. She came out soaking and sneezed. Everybody laughed at her. While heading back she slipped and fell into the sleeping bag. It became wet. It was all soaked. Nobody noticed till later. Sonal changed and joined them again. "Shaurya your turn" they all asked. Shaurya was eager to know her choice. "Truth" he chose. "Tell us about your wildest fantasy" Sonal asked. "Tough question" he said. "It would be..to make love with my girlfriend under the moonlight at a private island." He said. "That's cute" Sonal said. Mehek felt awkward at the thought of it. "Well, with actually the love of my life rather than my girlfriend." He added. "Yes mister handsome hunk. Every girl wants to hookup with you" they all laughed.
"At last. Mehek" they asked her the question. "Truth" she replied. "There's nothing I can ask you" Shaurya said while thinking of any question. "Would you want Shaurya to be your boyfriend in real life or marry a stranger?" Sonal asked. Shaurya laughed at her strange question but he had to agree it was a thoughtful one and he was eager to know her answer. Mehek was in a dilemma. Shaurya was a good friend now. She could manage with him but not any stranger. "Shaurya it is." She replied. "Never expected you to take my name." Shaurya said and chuckled. "Okay let's eat now. I'm hungry." They all had food and noticed later one of the sleeping bags is completely wet. Sonal was feeling cold so she got into her bag and dozed off. Nehal too slept hijacking one of the two remaining sleeping bags.
One sleeping bag, two people. Shaurya and Mehek looked at each other. "That's mine" they said in unison. Both ran to grab it at the same time. "Leave it." "You leave it."
They were both pulling at the sleeping bag. "Stop pulling it. You will tear the thing. Just share it." Nehal suggested. "With him. Never. I'll sleep on the rocks." Mehek said. "I'm not interested either." Shaurya remarked. "Your wish" Nehal said and dozed off. "Nehal why don't you share your bag with her." Shaurya said. "No I kick a lot. I won't share." Nehal mumbled in her sleep. "I'm taking this" Mehek grabbed it and ran away. Shaurya ran after her. "Wait." Mehek hid behind a tree near the lake but a little away from their camp site. "Mehek it can be dangerous" Shaurya said. Mehek heard his voice. He was searching for her. "There are wolves in this jungle." Shaurya said. Mehek thought he was trying to scare her. She remain hidden. She ran further more. Mehek sat on the bark of a broken tree and inhaled. There was silence all around. She looked around to find herself in an unknown place. 'She was lost '
She was an utter idiot to have run like that. 'What if the Wolves thing is true?' Mehek thought. "Shaurya!" She shouted. She heard the dry leaves crumble and someone approaching her. She was scared when someone suddenly pulled her into a tight hug. "Mehek! Are you mad?" It was Shaurya."what if anything had happened to you?" He was worried it was clear. "Like it would matter to you" she said rolling her eyes. And pushed him away when they heard the voice of an animal growling. "Mehek!Run!" Shaurya said and they both ran at the speed of light. They safely reached at their camping sight. "Thanks!" Mehek thanked him. "Anytime!" He smiled idiotically . "Let's sleep now." She said and laid down the sleeping bag near the bonfire and looked at him. His eyes widened. He was shocked. "You said you would rather sleep on the rocks than with me."
"I changed my mind. It's the least I could do to repay you. You just saved me from getting lost and being the dinner of a wild animal."
He looked upon at her.
"If you don't wanna sleep then.. your choice" Mehek said. "No. I have no problem."
"Okay then get in fast. It's cold." Mehek said.
He got in the sleeping bag and zipped it up. Their faces were so close to each other that they could hear each other's breathing and the voice of their heartbeats racing. They didn't know when they dozed off.

I just loved it... So beautifully written chapter... Their friendship is building nicely and loved their adventures that they are doing together. Camp scenes were superb... This camp will.surely turn the dynamics of tgeir relationship. But how it is possible that mehrya were together in tent n they sleep peacefully😉😉😉😉. There must be some romance 😉😉😉😉.
