It is not fair to Preeti’s Sasural that they too have been dragged into this lying mess. Being ristedaar does not mean that one has to be forced into being accomplices in Naina & Sameer’s lies. It is actually a heavy burden that that been put on Preeti's MIL's head.
Agreed. No rishtedaar will actually agree either, especially cousin sisters Sasuraal.
Like Uma said, Appu was right on the money about Naina’s day-out in Mumbai leading to Naina staying at home. The only sensible thing that happened in Wednesday episode was SS putting his foot down and telling Naina to cut the crap and not follow Sameer everywhere like a puppy but rather focus on her CA course. Given his track record, I never thought that I would hear something so sensible from SS.
True. That was sensible advice and also I think since Sameer hasn’t achieved anything ever, this will help him discover his strengths too, to be confident in what he can achieve.
We all have our personal preferences - I personally want to see Sameer and Naina succeeding in their perspective field on their own merits at more or less the same time.
Hopefully that’s what should happen that’s why SS’s advice. We may see parallel career stories.
What I see is wrong with these two are firstly both have set unrealistic goal . Sameer wants a hero overnight and Naina wants to be his guardian angel. Secondly setting focus on such a limited area of growth, they are they both are failing to realize their true capabilities and what they would actually be good at doing.
I guess that is what is in the offing. As of now the focus is Sameer to be hero and Naina to pursue to become a CA. I think slowly they will show that their career choices are not working and they will alter course based on their strengths and capabilities. Naina is expected to pursue her CA course because she is a topper and bright academically but Naina’s dream has been to be a writer. So she will eventually pursue her dream. In Sameers case, it will be a self discovery too because he is setting out to be a hero but may eventually become something else. His strength also is writing.
Infact, if that is what is intended, I am happy coz the show then doesn’t follow the cliched route of the character being bright and automatically pursuing careers such as doctor, engineer or CA which was the case in the 90s. Also, if Sameer doesn’t become a successful hero then the message is that just by being good looking you may not achieve success as an actor.
Thirdly they are underestimating the completion time of their goal - they hope everything to happen in a jiffy. Fourthly Naina is setting Sameer's dream when Sameer himself has to set his own dream . Given that it was Sameer's idea of becoming the hero, it is Naina who is laying down plans to lie about marital status and who he should see and what not. Fifth and foremost - honesty is the best policy - why lie?
Here I agree, why lie. But itv drama ke liye masala kahan se milega😉 As far as Sameer plotting what he needs to do on his own, hopefully should happen soon coz he is quite sharp when he puts his mind at work such as the GS elections and working on agenda points etc. I think they want to show their partnership and at this point they are showing how she is focused on Sameers career rather than her own. But soon she will have time on her hands and will give her a chance to think about her own career.
You title was very apt – it is easy to get into the trap of lies but what would be their strategy of getting out of it is yet to be seen. Hopefully it won't drag too much.
