I can’t believe that most of the country has just turned into this... never bothering to check for facts and just blindly following and repeating nonsense

This! Bhakts are making their own version of history where everything related to Hinduism is sacred and pure and had no bad intention and always had something to do with 'dirty uncouth Mughals or Muslims or Islam'. The way propaganda has spread in the name of asserting which religion is superior is scary.

And all of this is easily verifiable so it’s like they choose not to and just want to blindly believe in it. I mean it’s just a religion...y get so worked up over it...

You know what they say. If you tell a lie enough times, it becomes the truth. That has happened with the Bhakts. They truly believe someone is the second coming of Lord himself. And in India religion is a business not just a religion am afraid.

Hello peeps. Oh sati discussions are going on in see. I've read that this practice was most prevalent in Bengal, and surrounding areas like Bihar and Up somewhat. Completely nonexistent in North East.. punjab. Rajasthan..kashmir..gujarat and south India.

Even today data shows maximum widows in Vrindavan are Bengali left there by greedy relatives to usurp their property wealth etc.

There is a special way widows were treated in Bengal with all the certified rituals if they weren't shipped off to Vrindavan. Even today once can spot some old bent women wearing a single white cloth draped loosely around their bodies...doing all the cooking of the house...while themselves surviving on niramish....treated no better than as a glorified slave.

And hush hush...but the prettiest and youngestablished widows were sent to Sonagachi and other areas to service the white troops and officers. No wonder Bengal had literally the biggest brothels...and still does today....even Bangladesh brothels are famous today...n
