Gauri, no offense, but I can see from where your imagination is coming from😆
None taken 😊
So are you saying I have not gone completely cuckoo with this speculation? 🤪

P, I still see it as a betrayal of sorts. Even if not as a boyfriend, as a friend you build a certain amount of trust and this is breaking Arnavs trust. In my books, it is going behind someone's back anytime you discuss something about the said person with another. And being in love should actually make one angry on the loved one's behalf. But she sat and listened to Rakesh and did not try to explain why it couldn't be Arnav. She has met his ex-girlfriend after all and has it on good authority that he was never interested in Payal that way.
Having said that, I do see why she is that way. As I said in reply to Gauri, I get her character. It is the way she is due to whatever reasons. If she wasn't this way, we wouldn't have an interesting story to read. 😊
Sandy, she's trying to find out something, about an event she does not know anything about. She's not discussing Arnav is she? Yes, he has been made out to be a part of the thing, but its not him who is the main person here, it is her sister Payal.
Given her journalism background, I feel there is a method to how she's trying to collect information. In which case you don't disclose your hand so to speak. Why should she tell Rakesh that they are wrong, considering that she now knows all of them have not really given her the full picture, but hidden things, probably to make them out to be blameless. To them she does not know anything, especially that she knows Raizada. Rakesh now has got the feeling that she knows Raizada and has also fallen for his charms, this could actually be dangerous for her, seeing that these folk are not so innocuous as they had made out to be.
But yes as a friend, she definitely needs to talk to Arnav, that goes without saying. she's going to be in trouble. I have a feeling Rishabh is probably keeping track of what she's up to. Maybe even Rakesh since it would be easy for them, as they are locals in many ways. I don't think she has any doubts about Arnav having interest in Payal, what she probably now has to reconcile is why Payal's friends are trying to put him on the spot. She is torn, between her sister on the one hand, who probably feels more and more a stranger, and someone who she has cme to know and with whom she has fallen in love. And there's the guilt that she's privy to something that her sister had desired. That dream of hers, where she's running away with something that belonged to her sister...
Don't know if I'm making any sense😆

I agree with P about Khushi. We need to cut some slack for the poor girl. Just like Arnav, she also comes from a dysfunctional family. If Arnav has trust issues, so does she. Khushi is desperately trying to find reasons to find Arnav innocent. In her encounter with Ramya & Rakesh, she was hoping to find something that will let Arnav off the hook. Her gut is telling her that Arnav is innocent. She is just hunting for proofs. If she didn't trust Arnav, I don't think she would have given him so much of herself, emotionally or physically.
She doesn't need to explain anything to Rakesh. Or even defend Arnav in front of anyone. Because what others think about Arnav should have no consequence on their relationship. But yes, she does need to come clean with Arnav. And the sooner she does it, the better...for all parties involved.

Thank you Gauri, for putting in simple terms what I had in convoluted way tried to put across.
The story is getting very intriguing . Loving it .
Khushi couldn't have good family time for long as she has to live with her mom, away from her dad n elder sis..
It was not a matter of choice or taking sides but just an adjustment to lead life ..
Her vulnerable condition worsened when she came across her deceased sister's so called friends ..
The gang had filled her mind against Payal's boyfriend,Arnav Singh Raizada ..
N now..
When she meets him n lives in his house, she finds him a very caring person .. He 's ever ready to help others whether it's a girl trapped in a well or Srijeet going to be drowned himself .. He's always concerned about Khushi's safety..He helps his friend /past gf ..
Khushi has a high opinion of him .. She never harbors thoughts against him regarding Payal's mystery..
She owes it to Payal that her name should come clear ..
And she also wants it to be cleared for ever that Arnav is not guilty..
She has been doing it in her way.. with limited resources .. having strange n unreliable persons to reveal half cooked stories ..
I don't see any strong point in it that Arnav should feel betrayed or devastated ..
He's a strong person n have been bearing worse situations..
I hope he'll surprise us with his good nature n understanding..
BTW..
I LOVE SOME DRAMA ... CONFRONTATIONS ..
Jahan Arshi hoon.... kuch bhi simple achha nahin lagta ..
Coming to the update ..
Arshi r coming closer .. Khushi is still holding back while Arnav is giving her space ..
Kavi ..
Thanx for writing such an amazing tale ..
I intend to reread VOF or DR once I catch up certain other updates from my favorite authors' on-going fiction..
Khushi and Arnav are coming close to each other but everytime the past is coming in between them , Payal's past every time gets a twist in Khushi's life . Whenever Khushi thinks that the past is clear she again comes to square one.
The trip has turned into adventure and then a romantic it was beautiful

It's unbelievable how you recollect something that has no bearing on the story and then try to make sense of something taking into account the above-mentioned things. And I love how you read the unsaid. I hadn't picked up on the guilt she must be feeling.
Okay, you have convinced me to give Khushi the benefit of doubt. For now, I shall let it go.
Somehow, I feel more empathetic towards Arnav's pain. Maybe it is because somehow he has always come across as a person who has always stood apart from everyone else. Maybe it is the way he perceives himself or maybe it is the way he carries himself. But in making him the leader, everyone seems to have contributed to his loneliness. Just imagining him having to go through what he would for sure consider a betrayal (another one at that) is breaking my heart.
As you all probably know, I am not one of those who only wants and expects good things in a story. That would make for (IMHO) a very boring read. I love the way Khushi has been characterized. She is confused and flawed which is how any woman with her kind of upbringing would be. The way these two enigmatic characters gravitate towards each other and how they are going to navigate the murky waters of their relationship is what has hooked me to this story. Circumstances of Payal's death come a distant second. As always I am more interested in the frailties and complexities of the human psyche more than any other external intrigue😊

Hey Fauzi! I think Arnav will feel betrayed because he would have expected Khushi to come to him directly if she had doubts. The way it would appear to Arnav is that Khushi doesn't trust him. If Khushi is right to pursue her investigation, Arnav isn't wrong in his expectation, either. What say?
