In the show’s opening scenes Sharma family performing aarti to Ganesh, this family is always facing obstacles.
At the Bengali Basu family Anurag was performing aarti for Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman. Symbolism?
Anurag is a one woman man (at least for now - hope CVs spare his character assassination in the long run). In spite of majboori to marry Komo he has only loved Prerna and stood his ground and refused sindoor to Komo.
Anu and Pre both value the promises they made to each other in the presence of Durga Maa and take their marriage seriously.l
Is Anu being likened to Lord Ram, who promised his wife she will be the only woman in his life and who experienced many a challenge in life and stayed faithful to Sita? Vik the Raavan? Is Anupam the brother Lakshman standing by AnuPre? Who would be Hanuman to Anu’s rescue?
Komo for all her bluster and drama doesn’t understand that while she forced Anu to marry her to save his family she can’t force him to love her. Mohini and Nivi fawn over her and are in for a rude awakening.
For all his hurtful words meant to drive Pre away from the dark shadow of Komo, Anu intentions and actions have always been to protect Pre. He has tried to convince her she is the only woman he loves yet Pre isn’t convinced.🙄
Pre is confused from his mixed signals and she slings hurtful words at him. Anu reaffirms Pre he only loves her every time they clash for one reason or another.
Pre wants revenge and has teamed with Vik even after he explained his majboori circumstances? Hope she comes to her senses before she digs herself deeper with villain Vik. As the saying goes “the only ones who can hurt you are the ones you love deeply”.
“When you hurt the one you love you are bound to hurt yourself”. This is true of Anu.
