Chapter 17

"Good Morning Chutki... How are you doing??? I can't have Breakfast with you... Because today I have a lot of meetings, I won't be there for Dinner also... So you have your Dinner on time with Rita... Tomorrow for sure we will have Breakfast together..."

Haider went on speaking and as reply his Chutki just nodded her head in approval.

"Fine then, I'll leave now... Bye Chutki..."

Haider kissed Zoya's forehead and left.

"I miss you so much Chutki..." Haider thought as he looked at Zoya from the door with tears in his eyes.

It has been 2 months from that dreadful day. 2 months that Zoya spoke. She would sometimes just nod her head as reply for the questions asked to her. She neither spoke nor smiled ever. She was a living dead. Haider couldn't do much to get the old Zoya back. The same Hospital where Zoya worked is where is she being treated. The Doctors, after knowing her whole case just says that it would be a miracle if she talks.

Seeing Zoya's current condition made Haider hate Sahib to the core. First he lost his Ammi because of Sahib and now his Chutki.

Haider had called off AsYa Marriage stating that Zoya Loves someone else. But he hadn't mentioned about Zoya's current health issues. He didn't even visit KV anymore and preferred to just visit their office as it was only for work sake.

"Asad... You need to take some rest..." Anwar said entering into Asad's cabin.

"Good Monday Sir..." Asad formally wished.

"Asad it's just been a month since you have been allowed to work with a condition that you shouldn't stress yourself..." Anwar spoke as he sat on the chair opposite to Asad.

"Jiju... Please let me concentrate..." Asad said irritated.

Anwar sighed loudly and walked out of Asad's cabin.

Since 2 months Asad never spoke about Zoya with him. He pretended to have moved on. But he could see how glad Asad was as his wedding was called off.

Zoya sat down on the swing in the terrace looking at the sky but yet not watching the beautiful sunset. Just as always Zoya sat their listening to some songs.

Tum bin kya hai jeena kya hai jeena Tum bin kya hai jeena

As this song started, Zoya's eyes brimmed with tears.

Kaise jiya jaaye tum bin

Sadiyon si lambi hain raatein

Sadiyon se lambe huye din

Yeh dil keh raha hai

Zoya closed her eyes and a few tears made its way out of her eyes. She just could see Asad's face and it brought a few more tears. How much she wished to get her Asad back but then it wasn't possible. But her heart yet craved for it to happen.

Phir shaam-e-tanhayi jaagi

Phir yaad tum aa rahe ho

Phir jaan nikalne lagi hai

Phir mujhko tadpaa rahe ho

Phir mujhko tadpaa rahe ho

Zoya could not help but to recall their happy memories. She remembered how they met for the first time and how slowly their friendship let place for Love.

Tum bin bahut hum akele hain

Yeh dil keh raha hai

She was indeed lonely in this world, even though she had a Brother, she had lost her Love.

Kya kya na armaan jagaaye

Zoya's thoughts wandered to the dreams she had dreamt once. She had dreamt to have a happy life with her Love. She had lost the count of how many times she imagined her Wedding with Asad. Now all her dreams are shattered.

Iss dil se toofaan guzarte hain

Tum bin to jeete na marte hain

Aa jaao laut kar tum

Yeh dil keh raha hai

Zoya's heart squeezed as she remembered the scene where Sahib shot Aaad. She wished that it should had been her instead of Asad who got shot.

Kaise jiya jaaye tum bin

Sadiyon se lambi hain raatein

Sadiyon se lambe huye din

Aa jaao laut kar tum

Yeh dil keh raha hai

Zoya wished that some miracle happens and her Asad comes back, but then she too knew that she is being illogical. Yet she couldn't reprimand her heart to accept the truth.

As the song ended and another began, her reverie was broken. Tears continously followed from her eyes as their sweet memories pierced her heart.
