'This party was shit, this day was shit, this month was shit, in fact this entire year..' Khushi stopped talking as she could see
him around.
Narrowing her eyes, she charged towards him, making she sure she thumped a little harder with each step she took, a silent way of letting her anger out.
Pasting a smile on her face, a smile that couldn't have looked any faker, she patted his shoulder.
'Arnav, what a surprise?! '
'Really Khushi, are you actually surprised or are we playing the lets-pretend game yet again?'
That smirk. THAT annoying, winning smirk on his face.
'Well since holding up pretences are your favourite, why don't you answer that for me?'
Oops, that came out harsher than thought, Khushi mentally noted how strangled her voice sounded to even her own ears.
'If I remember right, wasn't Pretentious Movie Reviews your thing to binge on?' Arnav knew keeping it cool was only going to bother her, and bothering her was always his way of getting to her.
But she wasn't talking. She looked lost, oh how he wanted to hug her out of whatever was making her look so upset but he couldn't, because as soon as he stepped forward Khushi just turned around and walked away.
Yelling rather loudly, 'Excuse me, please pack this dress MY WOULD BE, and his BROTHERS are all waiting.'
Aman swiftly turned around to find a very annoyed I-know-she-is-mine looking Arnav.
Looks like Chotey, will never change.
Shaking his head off he walked along with Khushi, making sure to not laugh at Khushi's monologue of 'Aman today was shit, this month was shit, in fact this entire year..'
'Was shit? Much like your face or, well decisions?'
'Yeah Aman, I suggest you to wait until the coming weekend, and then we will see whether or not do you find anything shitty'
Arnav watched her walk off, Aman was as good as invisible to him especially after how Khushi just strolled out holding his arm like her life depended on it, much like another day, differently though.
-Past-
She was cute, in that royal blue jacket that she wore over Salwaar-Kurta, because duh college. Her hair tied up in a tight pony tail, swaying left-right as she entered their second hour for the day, huffing and puffing. Almost limping too.
'Dudeee, I hate the BBA block. Argh why couldn't have I fallen somewhere else?!' she went on to tell the entire class.
'You guys know na how I am always running late, and then today was a Monday with first hour being hindi so I just had to run and then...'
'BAM, she fell flat on her face. Everything else is anyway flat'
'Thanks Aman! My palm is also flat, do you want to feel it on your cheek?'
'No I'll pass, don't want your filthy hands touching me'
'Gosh Aman! You're too mean yaaa'
Khushi had lightened up, she laughed at everything Aman said. She seemed less frustrated too post that conversation.
'Arnavvv, hey there!'
There was something about the about her, the way she looked at him her face looked unnerved whenever she spoke to him. She seemed friendly, yet distant. Very distant.
'You are late nahi?'
He was making small talk.
He knew they weren't as close as Aman and her were. He was missing out, conversations with her. She seemed nice. Friendly.
And he had missed out.
While Aman clearly hadn't.
So here, he was making small talk after being with her in the same class for a month and a half.
She did open her mouth to reply, but as luck would have it, somebody bumped into her and she was falling.
She was falling.
He was gaping at her, and she fell with a rather mellow *thuddd*
Aman ran to her, and she took his entire hand for support and looked on.
Arnav knew he had let her fall, because he zoned out. He couldn't get his hands to move.
WHY? Because he was staring at the window behind her which was showing him a reflection of his thoughts, because he was lost, oh no no not in her but more into the introspect of how had he not been with her.

He hadn't let her fall only on that one day, there had been other times.
Way more intense. Way more stupid.
Shit days as he'd now call them.

It is really short (and well, not up to the mark), but this is a tough month at work and it has only begun so the frequency of updates will be a tad bit slow (definitely not weekly once) but I will update this every now and then I get time!
