Kedarnath had budget of 60-65 crores, while Dhadak was made around 41 crores.
I hope you're not going to tell me that you took wiki as a source and belief that a movie shot mostly on outdoor location and with VFX and disaster scenes was made in just 35 crores.

While janhvi is quite shy and demure and had to act like a confident girl which is polar opposite her real life perosnality. So many points to contradict:
1) Kedarnath was made on a budget of 60-61 crores (do not take Wiki as a good source). Dhadak was mainly shot in udaipur , had two newcomers and no VFX .Thus it cant cost more than a film that had VFX and an established star (both would cost the producer)
2) Do watch various interviews of Janhvi, she comes as very self conscious and demure almost like her mother . The small confidence she shows is when there is someone doing the interview with her like ishaan or shashank.
3)Watch beyond the clouds, ishaan was surprise there too and yet it wasn't a hit . Like it or not dhadak was Sold on Janhvi and it earned a large chunk of its money in the deccan region which was sridevis bastion.

Umm karan offered Sara dhadak initially and she rejected it and went with her mother's friend ekta who was producing kedarnath at that time. So isn't it natural that karan will choose the girl that debuted with his banner rather than a girl who only came back to him when kardarnath was in a limbo.

They both had tragic lovestories in their film. Compare jahnvi in emotional scenes to sara in emotional scenes. Sara was way way better. Yes She played a bubbly character which is similar to her personality but she was also really good in other scenes. All the emotional scenes and the flood scene. I can not even say that i would wait for second film to see how popular she is because she is having a biopic which mostly will be hit and will be praised like neerja was.
Her film was watched as she was sridevi's daughter.

She has that cute innocence to her 😳 😆 but she is an actress she has to deliver to prove herself.

I love Janu and Saru because for me they are way better than Alu lol in just their first film alone.
