Katrina won the viewer choice award for cumulative Rajneeti and TMK.
Vidya won the actual Best Actress award for Ishqiya.
Critics award was not given.
Katrina won the viewer voting award, not a jury selected one.
I think Katrina at her peak, must have had people voting for her, than for Aish, who was at that time, well already down hill.
Katrina got it again in 2013.
Nothing to do with Sallu.

Its a fact that awards are a joke

only those who are promised an award come to the awards even perform. So those who present and those who receive are the ones who attend.

There's no surprise on who is going to win, its already informed and promised.

I still remember, Meenakshi seshadri did not win for Damini and Juhi won for Hum Hai Rahi Pyar ke...that was just the beginning.

for the last 10-12 years, its become a joke. Its mainly for television TRP's , no content, no transparency, no surprise..everything is rigged and fixed well in advance

You really think these awards people are so scrupulous that they will give the award to those who get the highest number of votes?

Besides, media people back then reported Salman was throwing tantrums during the awards despite winning Best actor (jury) award. He could have easily arm-twisted the award organizers to give the award to his then gf Katrina (the journo confirms Kat's award was decided last minute).

Ok, my source from backstage confirms that katrina kaif's award was decided at last moment! Also, sallu got angry - main bhi aur woh bhi!

In the article it is written about a spiteful man...nowhere in the whole article, SRK is named. Not even a special award function but the award functions in general.

So, how spiteful is the one who draggs SRK's name this way into the title of this thread. What was your purpose, Mugda?

The numerous award functions of the HIndi filmindustry have become a sad joke over the years. Still, I think, it isn't fair to generalize.

There is enough proof that stars performed, even hosted without getting an award, not even having had a nomination. If they get money, that I would find okay as they do work.

The trophy shown is Filmfare trophy. So its mainly talking about Filmfare award. Leading man is offcourse SRK. He conspired against Aishwarya because he was hellbent to destroy her career for quite some years post Chalte Chalte fiasco. When she got success again with Kajra Re, Dhoom 2, Guru, Jodhaa Akbar, Ravaanan (Tamil), Robot and did some other critically acclaimed works like Raincoat, Guzaarish SRK plotted against her again by conspiring against her to give undeserving Kajol award for that guest appearance we saw in MNIK. 🤢
