Okay, so. First and foremost, I'm Tulika. I've been a silent lurker here since the start because
A) I'm too lazy to type out and comment and post
B) Too lazy.
But, yesterday's episode was something that made me put up this post. I've been seeing all you guys getting angry that they didn't really 'marry' each other and all that. Well, it's true. The promo for yesterday's episode was a big clickbate. And all of us are bound to be angry over the fact that the promo properly showed Anurag putting Sindoor in Prerna's maang, it didn't happen yesterday.
However. Yesterday's episode didn't do complete injustice to the promo because when Anurag had the Sindoor in his fingers, Prerna was so confused (hats off to Erica, she had such a beautiful and realistic expression on her face I love her she's so cute and aaah). Yeah so, Prerna was so confused. And if Anurag had actually filled her maang, no matter how happy (or confused we don't know) Prerna would've been, it would still be wrong. Consent matters. And I'm so happy that they didn't show this proper maang bharo thing because that would've given such a negative and weird impact on Anurag's character. Anurag is someone who will always think of the other person's opinions.
Moreover, when Anurag was saying his dialogues during the Sindoor Tika thing, he specifically said that this Sindoor is a promise between a husband and a wife to be there for each other and all that (I don't remember the dialogue properly). So, in that sense when he made the promise of being with her no matter what, he meant it as a husband. And that's why the Sindoor was on the forehead. So, in a way they did marry each other, even if it was in their hearts and not with proper rituals.
And anyway, isn't this more realistic than that surprise marriage without telling anyone shit?
