I think S2's nonsense with Pari is done for Mishti to find out. Mauli will probably not break the marriage over it so it won't be a huge revelation for her, but it'll open Mishti's eyes and make her consider that things won't be smooth for her Mumma and her.

All of the revelations surrounding Kunal are done for Mauli.

Add the outcomes of both these revelations up and we get Maunal + kids together, happily.
