unfortunately, it does happen in India... most parents (not all) are like, 'We want to see our bahu, before we die' ' Pota Poti ke saath khelna hai' etc etc...

RK being the kapoor scion and also the most famous in his generation of kapoors, pressure must be more...

Hmm interesting observation. He and Alia just arrived back in Mumbai and if you see a video of them at the airport he's looking like someone stole his puppy, again. He looks annoyed, walking fast. At one point it looks like Alia has to pick up her steps to keep up with him. Very different than the smiley face he had throughout the pictures in New York. The pictures that as you pointed out were put out to the public by his own family.

I personally really liked Ranbir with Mahira. Too bad, that never took off. All his other girlfriends have had such boring personalities, barring Alia. She is a firecracker.

Yea I thot he looked good Mahira from whatever 2-3 pics available. Never liked his pairing with Deepika, when they were together I wanted them to break up and they did lol Katty was alright. Alia I dunno she seems smitten, RK will take his time to commit to anything serious.

😆 Welcome to India then. Here most parents dont even have to be ill lol. There's pressure regardless. Not only India though I feel it's the Indian Subcontinent way. And when parents are indeed ill there's expectation of see the kids settled. Growing up I thought it was a rural middle class thing but no. Its everywhere in India. The rich get married for far superficial reasons too. The Kapoor family itself dont have the greatest history when it comes to marriages. Neetu has been trying to 'arrange' a Delhi bride for Ranbir for ages now. Esp seeing how successful Shahid-Mira were. If that guy ever marries his parents would be the biggest reason.

People do that. A friend of mine got married when his dad was end stage cancer and got divorced a year after. You're right though, its stupidity firstly to keep marriage as some rite of passage in life.

Everyone knows that marriage could be a career ending thing for BW women so it would be stupid for Alia to marry at this stage and that too someone with a shoddy record like Ranbir
