Thankyou for the explanation! I am able to access Einthusan these days through Hola, but am a little apprehensive about watching films because it keeps showing "streaming from London/Washington" etc etc.

Watched the video.. I can't install it for some reasons, thankyou though :)

Or

Thaat old kid's story book story of,... " Baagh aaya,.. baagh aaya,... and one day, a sachmuch Baagh aayega ,...and no one will believe you, Coz they would still think, you are faking it up,.. ! Same thing happened to Aakash no ?

.

IMHO, if you had seen the movies like, Waqt ( old, Baleraj sahani ) and Humraaz,.. then ,... this movie also had very badly needed some deducing court funny scenes and net judgment , about completing the story to the satisfaction of,..

What happened thereafter of that crook police guy and his wife, did the police and court know about it,.. what actually happened in aakash's story,..?

Oh dear , I forgot about what happened to the crook-police, I thought he was killed or something near the elevator? My memory is a bit hazy, sorry.. :D

What happened to that money-beg,.. and where and how the money came, by that police guy,..

The money bad had blank papers - dummy currency.. it is revealed when the Lottery Lady crying over her dead lover(the sympathetic man with her), opens the money bag begging the doctor to save his life. She sees that there's just blank papers underneath a layer of some currency (seemingly real). And, the doctor later says that he's kicked the bucket, she might as well consider donating some of his organs..

What happened to that poor Lottery lady,..and her funny and all ill-intended and mind-changed. Witnesses in the court,.. Same for the doctor,...

What happened to, that little kid and his Cell-clips,.. as a proof to the court about what was going on,.. and his funny comments was missing in court scenes,..

Court scenes?? Where?

Tabu's step daughter's observation in home and court appealing of her,... about what she observed about her parents and aaksh,..

I felt,.. the Director ran away,.. leaving the movie, incomplete,... Lol.

I really didn't look at this film this way, Himalaya, IDK what to say honestly.. 😃

============

Angel like Devil,..

If you think, that was the end that aakash made up the story,...at the end,.. then in that case,..

1.

Director had also sent a different end about what had actually happened afterwards, by other clips.

Lol, no, we all have seen the same film.. it's just the perspectives! :)

2.

Director had not shown that hand-stick / Chhadi of Aakash at the end, with having a rabbit handle, if he had just made it up, that story,..

I have seen it too..

3.

Director had shown Aakash watching that repetitive scene of rabbit-hunt in the beginning also , from his home-window, when he had eyes ,... and he perhaps, then now he was faking,...

===============================================================

Hmm, I think we both just 'see' the film differently :p ..it's natural to have different perspectives, Himalaya.. 😃

My thoughts on the film align with what LizzieBennet wrote in her post :)

But will comment on a few questions you put forth - ..my answers in blue..

EDIT -- happy holidays and seasons greetings to your near and dear!!:)

His 'Ek Haseena Thi' and 'Johnny Gaddaar' were also phenomenal thrillers, but this one is unique with its ambiguous ending. I usually do not prefer movies with twisted or unexplained endings but in case of "Andhadhun" I'll make an exception.

It prompted me to visit Quora and reddit and read up fan theories on what actually happened. Can't remember ever doing that for a Hindi movie!
I too think he was lying to Sophie about the last bit - maybe he "took" inspiration from the rabbit-head cane he was wielding, but that doesn't explain why the movie opened with the rabbit-hunt scene. (Was it a metaphor?)

Yaa... he either took inspiration, or (I think) just likes rabbit or maybe it was a story he cooked in his mind to tell the entire world as a truth during the road-trip :p
I just think the rabbit hunt scene towards the beginning of the film was a director's way of putting the end in the beginning or something like that.. IDK the proper cine-parlance, but it's like one of those techniques is usually employed in films, just to play with our minds or engage us. So I didn't think there was any symbolic meaning behind it.. But what's your metaphorical interpretation of the scene LB?? :)

And if it was the truth he was telling Sophie, how then did he even see the rabbit? - (I know there are explanations about how the hunter would've told him, but somehow doesn't seem satisfactory) Same, I don't find it satisfactory either..

And yeah, how did it survive the crash? And how did he get his eyesight back? Did the doc and he sell Simi's organs? (the clue from the tree on the highway), or did he get them from Murli?

:D ..this is a mystery, anything could've happened, we cannot say what happened for sure, no matter how hard we think about it.

What clue from tree on the highway LB?

So many questions unanswered- I would watch the heck out of a sequel if they make one!
Haha, yes, all this discussion is prompting me to watch the film once again :P

I loved the end montage too! In fact, the whole movie seems to be tribute to classic cinema, what with Pramod being a 70s star (the clips were from actual Anil Dhwan movies) and Sriram mentioned that even the YT comments were real, except a few which they'd put in with a fake id. Also the dedication to Chayageet and Chitrahaar in the beginning.

what's that? looks like I missed a lot :(
Yes yes, I saw young Tabu 😃 ..the montage was like a cherry on top.. :) I really hope they enlarge it and put it up on youtube.. :(

Did you notice Tabu as a teen (probably from Hum Naujawan) in one of the montage clips?

LB! Welcome to the thread 😃

Yes, the open-ended plot, giving audience to wonder and develop different perspectives of what the story may be, makes it a great film! :)

How have you been?
Happy holidays to you and your near and dear😃

Beautiful write-up on It's a Wonderful Life.. it's been in my watchlist since ages, looking forward to watch it. Please keep posting film reviews, LB.. 😃

This was my third viewing, gets surprisingly better each time :))) The big plot holes didn't bother me this time, I found some explanation 😊

Lately have been watching "lone woman in peril " kind of movies where the lovely lady is caught alone not knowing where the danger is coming from

Here Audrey Hepburn is visually impaired and stuck alone inside her apartment with 3 robbers and possible murderers

Signpost to murder

Having watched two BW versions and the first one being my fav, couldn't miss the opportunity to see the original when it was on TV recently (India loved it so much it was also made into stage play in Gujrathi, Marathi, & Hindi) Don't think I would've watched it otherwise as it has all the markings of a B-movie (I sound like such a movie snob)

The original Ittefaq is still my fav. but this one was good too, the suspense would've been really good, unexpected and surprising for first time watchers

It's set in UK so atmosphere is good although the main cast don't seem to have a trace of English accent and acting esp by Stuart Whitman ( looks very handsome in an angst-ridden & rugged kind of way) with his wide chest ( which even his loose fitted shirt couldn't conceal) and surprisingly well built upper body for a man locked in prison for the criminally insane for 5 yrs

No wonder the heroine Mrs. Paul Newmann falls for him notwithstanding the fact that he's holding her hostage at gunpoint, is accused of murdering his wife and Oh, he might have killed her husband too

bold..😆
Missed your review posts Betty!! 😃 what other "lone woman in peril" films have you seen?:)

Happy Holidays and seasons greetings to your, your near and dear😃

Thanks ALD ❤️

Happy Holidays and Seasons greetings to you and yours too. Wish you a very joyous Holiday Season ⭐️

I saw "The Midnight Lace ( Doris Day & Rex Harrison) - really good

" Portrait in Black " was okay

In both movies you get to see stars living in posh setting, in glamorous costumes always dressed to the nines

Another movie that made quite an impact on me is "Dead Calm " (Nicole Kidman & Billy Zane) Watched it a while ago not recently but planning to watch again soon...

Anybody else here seen the movie I'd love to hear their views :)))

Not a movie to watch when you're depressed, on the other hand it might make U feel better that your situation is not as bad

Yup. " Like " button works only in GC and not in Firefox.

.

I am in US and both are working perfectly fine. Einthusan is free and have no idea whether in India or not, ...for premium service ( watching Bluray qlty ) they charge very little for life-time. It's a clean and neat site with no virus/ads/pop-ups or any such to destroy your PC. So feel free if it works, it's legal and clean.

Try other browser Mozilla v/s GC if it works,...

...

Police inspector does not die, he is lastly shown as, stuck in a without electricity Elevator and using his gun, to somehow break the elevator door,..

I would buy the END, as what you said,...

i.e. In the End, he was already seeing,.. ( the way he kicks the Metal can ) . and was fooling the London audience as part of his his hobby to earn more respect and sympathy and perhaps, like he used to say, the music and art comes from deep within inside ,...so for a better musician he should start seeing the world by heart and not thro' eyes,..

The make-up scenes ( rabbit jumping and Tabu died in self crash ) were shown after his London settlement scenes , when he tells the story to Soophie,.. so He made it up, to fool her once more like always,... and the fact was, he had gone with the deal of selling Tabu's Organs and Cornea for his eyes, and perhaps he did not want to let down Soophie, as she was also Tabu's friend,..
