They all were middle aged when mahabharat happened. Even the vastraharan happened some years after their marriage. Vidya just needs to lose a bit weight, losing weight helps looking younger too.

What I meant to say is that Vidya "looks" older. I am a Vidya fan myself.

In BW, what matters is how old you "look". It doesn't matter old how you are.

E.g. If you are 30+, but still can pass of as 16 something, then you would be cast in 16+ roles.

Remember the girl in Masaan. She is 33.😲😲😲 I was shocked when I got to know this.

I really thought she was 16 or 17 something.

Sorry what's the prerequisite to playing this character? Let's ignore the necessary acting skills for once. Just the look of the character? I'm surprised one side people say a dusky actress would be apt and on other side people are listing Anushka. Also those who know, is it a big deal of a role? Sorry I'm not hindu and though I have just heard names but have never understood what it is and who is in. Advance thanks!

Anushka Shetty. I can not think anyone else except for Deepika from bollywood. Maybe PC.

For me Draupadi will always be Pooja Sharma but I don't think they will cast someone out of bollywood. They should thou, she will kill it again.

If you are making Mahabharat then yes Draupadi is a big deal. She is one of the main cause of the epic war. Lets just say of if Mahabhat is a movie, she is the main female lead.

And if you are going to base on a movie on a epic you might as well get it alright. Draupadi needs to be portrayed as she is described in the epic otherwise its not her just another female character.

Vidya is old for the part. And really Amir as Krishna? If we are considering the older generation then no one can fit Krishna as Askhay Kumar. And if from the younger gen then probably Ranbir.
