Ishra was happily hugging Ruhi when Raman's phone rang. He picked the phone and start talking while Ruhi said -mumma bhookhu.
Ishita -what my baby will have??
Ruhi thought for a while and said -aaloo ka parantha.
Ishita -aaloo ka parantha toh mumma ko banane nahi aata.idli khaogi??she asked and Ruhi nodded in no making a face.
Raman came smiling and said -yeh tumhari tarah madrasan nahi hai, she is punjaban like me. Yeh idli vada nahi khaati.
Ishita glare him and said -thanks for the info. Main ruhi ke liye aaloo ka parantha banana seekh lungi.
Raman -aur mere liye chicken. He said teasing her.
Ishita -chicken, sorry I am not going to make it.
Raman -aise kaise nahi banaogi.u have to make it.
Toshiji told him to stop but Raman signalled her to remain silent and said -samjhi, pati ka order hai. U have to make it. He said smiling making ishita's face fell. She remembered subbu beating him saying the same thing, apne pati ka order nahi maanti. Today I will kill u.
She remembered and shivered making ruhi fell off her hand. Raman hold Ruhi in time and said -ishita, r u OK??
Ishita look at him. He was looking at her all worried asking what happened while she was just looking at him trying to understand what he is telling. But all she could see and feel was subbu beating her.
Ishita -dont, please don't beat me. Please. She said and toshiji shook her.
Toshiji -kaun tujhe maar raha hai, she said shaking ishita and she realised where she is. She look around and saw everyone looking at her with confused eyes.
Ishita composed herself and said -i am sorry.
Raman -r u OK??
Ishita nodded and said -mummy ji, aap please Ruhi ko aaloo ka parantha khila degi. She said desperately.
Toshiji -haan puttar, I will make and feed her. U r fine naa.
Ishita nodded and went from there. All look at ishita all confused while she ran to her room. She hide her face in the pillow and start crying.
Mr bhalla -what happened, Raman??
Raman -dont know precisely, papa. Shayad koi buri yaad ho. After all she was in orphanage.
Toshiji -ho sakta hai. Tu jaa kar dekh.
Raman -nahi maa, she hasn't share her past with me. She wants some time for that. Jab woh khud mujhse apna dukh share karna chahegi that time I will stand by her side.koi buri yaad hogi, let her be alone for sometime. Aap ruhi ko khana khila dijiye. I have to go for an urgent meeting. Raat ko aane mein shayad late ho jaaye, Aap log kha kar rest kijiyega. I will have something out.
Toshiji -tera phir shuru ho gaya, shaadi hone wali hai. Now change urself.
Raman -ok meri maa, I will change myself. For now let me go. OK maa, bye. He said and went out.
Toshiji was looking at Raman when Ruhi said -dadi bhookhu.
Toshiji smiled and went to make parantha for her.
In the room, ishita was stood in front of the mirror and slide her saree down her navel. She touched the burn marks and tears roll down her eyes remembering the pain she felt when subbu burned her with his cigarrate. She closed her eyes and said-i hate u subbu I hate u. U not only bruised my body but my soul too. I will never forgive u with what u did with me. She said caressing her scars.
After an hour, ishita went down to help Toshiji. Toshiji didn't let her help saying -u r guest now, jab bahu ban jaogi tab kaam karna.
Ishita nodded and stood by her observing her and helping her doing something or other.
All had dinner together. Ishita asked about Raman and got to know that he will be late.
Ishita -mujhe abhi bhookh nahi lagi hai, will eat later.
Mr and Mrs bhalla smiled hearing her and said -as u wish, puttar.
All had dinner and ishita took Ruhi to her room for making her sleep.
On the other hand, Raman was busy in his work but Ishita's sudden behaviour was making him restless. He was thinking the reason behind her behaviour and badly wanted to know her past. But she didn't told her anything about her past and with her action it was clear that she don't want to share it.
Thinking about her, he wrap up his work and went back to his house.
It was eleven in night. Raman reached home and was going to kitchen to have food as he couldn't eat anything out and was really hungry when he saw lights of ishita's room on. He thought for a while and then decided to talk to her. Thinking so he walked to her room. Ishita was making Ruhi sleep when there was a knock on the door.
Ishita -khula hai, aa jaiye.
Raman came inside and said -free ho.
Ishita -raman Aap,aap aa gaye. Aaiye naa.
Raman walked inside and said looking at Ruhi -so gayi??
Ishita -haan abhi soyi.
Raman bend and pecked ruhi's temple softly .ishita smiled seeing this and said -Kuch kaam tha aapko??
Raman -nahi, actually I wanted to talk.
Ishita -haan boliye.
Raman -actually I wanna say thanks .
Ishita -thanks, kis liye??
Raman -tum itni achchi lawyer ho,ur practising is going so well. Still u r shifting to Mumbai for us. And more then that, u asked papa that whether u can work or not. Tum nahi puchti toh bhi koi tumhe nahi rokta,but ur gesture of taking their permission, I am really touched. He said making ishita smile.
Ishita -aapke parent hai hi itne achche,that nobody can even think of hurting them in any way, aur khaas kar agar koi mujh jaisa anath ho, toh uske liye to aapke parent r like god. They r just so good.
Raman -phir anath kaha khud ko, bulaun maa ko.
Ishita nodded in no and both smiled.
Raman -waise tum bhi achchi ho, bas thodi akdu ho.
Ishita -thanks for this twisted compliment. She said smiling.
Raman -waise really, I am proud of u. U r a self made person and I feel really proud thinking u r going to be my wife.
Ishita -thank u again for this direct compliment. She said and both got silent.
After a while, Raman said -can I ask u something??
Ishita -shaam ke incident ke baare mein mat puchiyega.
Raman thought for a while and said -nahi actually I wanted a favour .kuch kaam kar sakti ho mere liye, only if u r comfortable.
Ishita -boliye.
Raman -i am really tired, and I don't know how to warm food in microwave. Can u do this for me. Mujhe bahut bhookh lagi hai. If u r not comfortable I will, he was saying when she said -aap ruhi ke paas rukiye, Main abhi le aayi hoon. Saying so she went and raman said -itni jaldi nahi raman. Keep patience, she needs time to share her past. He thought and start waiting for her.
After a while, she came with two plates full of food. Seeing her he said -i know I am hungry. But I can't eat so much.
Ishita -hahaha, very funny. One is for me.
Raman -tumne bhi khana nahi khaya,kyun.waiting for me.
Ishita -nothing like that, I wasn't hungry then but now I am hungry. So brought for myself too. Koi aur question my lord.
Raman -nothing, let's have food. He said and went to wash hands.
Soon he came back and both start eating talking in between randomly.
