Chapter 17

At night everyone got to their rooms Shiv was sleeping with Ruhi and Uma and Kanak got to their rooms. Purab called Uma and said you were supposed to come back today I was waiting for you. Uma said I forgot to call you I am sorry there is so much happening here I couldn't come but I will come back soon . Purab said Uma it's not easy to come back from the path of love. Uma said shut up tomorrow vansh and saras is coming back and I will be back. Purab said okay let's see. Uma heard a knock on door and he opened and saw Kanak was standing on the door with pillow and blanket. She said I am getting scared in my room may I sleep here ? Uma said Kanak that was just a movie go and relax nothing will happen and that's your room go back. Kanak came running inside and said I will not you know curtains are moving and my room is very large I will not go please let me sleep here . Uma said why don't you go and sleep with Shiv. Kanak replied that Shiv is sleeping with Ruhi and you don't know Ruhi is a snitch she will say everything to Devi and again they will laugh at me. Please Uma let me sleep here. Uma said okay relax yourself at bed I will take that couch. She said okay. Kanak sleep on the bed. Uma take the pillow and sleep on couch he was about to turn off the lights but she said let it be it's good. She slept Uma was unable to sleep with lights so he was awake and was staring at her and smiled. He was admiring her beauty her face her lips and long hair on pillow. He was thinking should I say yes why not she is a good girl childish but caring unmannered but supporting and may be purab is right I think it will be hard to leave her tomorrow let's see.

At morning saras and vansh arrived and Kanak was making breakfast for everyone and Uma was still sleeping. Vansh said my sister is doing labour and he is sleeping. Saras said let it be he is also human and maybe he slept late at night. Kanak said whatever I am leaving early today I am way behind my syllabus and will be in college library and will drop Shiv as well. Shiv and Kanak left . Uma woke up and was searching for Kanak. Saras informed him that she has already left for college. Uma said I also wanted to leave now I have been here from many days so better I should leave. Saras said wait for some more days mom and dad is about to come back in next few days. Uma said no I want to leave early. Saras said okay as your wish. Saras noticed that there are nail marks on his arm. She asked that last night did you watch a horror movie with Kanak. Uma asked how do you know. Saras said she is familiar with these marks even vansh get the same when he sits next to her. Vansh hospital is nearby go and get the first aid. Uma said no that's fine. Saras said don't worry I will inform him just go. Devika called saras and asked about Kanak. Saras said she has already left for college anything important. Devika said yes I want a copy of lease agreement as I have to submit a address proof at passport office. Saras said Kanak didn't know about this I will call to dad he will send you. Saras called to suraj and suraj send the papers to devika. Though he asked about Umashankar but saras replied he was good but he is leaving today as his work is suffering there. Suraj said okay.

At evening Kanak came angrily at home and was breaking things in her way. Ved asked what happened. Kanak said that rohit he is a limit he has pasted a poster that he wants a female dancer for his group as I don't know what he is going to do with her. Uma was about to leave and was packing his bags. Kanak asked to ved can't we do something because of him Ruhi tried to commit suicide. Ved said okay let me ask something to Ruhi. He asked Ruhi did rohit pressurized you. Ruhi said no . Ved did he committed anything about marriage. Ruhi said no. Ved asked did you sedated you. Ruhi said no . And now last question what's your age. Ruhi said 20. Ved said Kanak there is no case against him Ruhi was mature enough to take her decision and whatever happens between them happened with their consent legally we cannot do anything. Vansh said God will punish him he has betrayed her someone will betray him when he will be in true love. Uma heard everything and looking her disturb he goes to her room to console her. Kanak said I am not upset I was thinking vansh is right someone can betray him so why not me. Uma was shocked he asked what do you mean. Kanak said I mean it's a game for rohit like playing around so why can't I play with him. Uma said no that's not right. Kanak asked so what he did was that right. Its high time that he should taste his medicine. Uma said I will not let you do this. Kanak said you are not my dad to give me permission. I call Devi and asked her . Devika was reading the lease agreement and shocked to see Umashankar name in it

Devika was shocked she opened her laptop and searched for Umashankar and his pic got loaded. She read everything about him and came to conclusion to tell Kanak everything but couldn't decide why he is hiding himself as he is such a rich man so why living here like a house help. She decided to tell everything to Kanak whatever the matter is. She was about to call Kanak but her phone ranged and it was Kanak on other side and she told that she wants to discuss a very important thing so want to meet tomorrow at their regular place. Devika said even she wanted to share something. Kanak said whatever they will discuss tomorrow. Next day they all meet up Uma was also with them. Kanak said that we all know that what rohit has done to Ruhi and still he is not punished and ved said that we can't do anything legally against him but I have an idea to play the same game with him that he is playing with others. Devika said I don't understand what you want to say. Kanak said it's simple I want to break his heart like the way he did. Uma said I think it's a pathetic idea and it should be dropped right now . I mean we all know him and what if he does something bad to Kanak. I will not support it. Kanak said so I want to know what you think about it. Devika said Kanak I think Uma is right this is not a good idea I mean now everything is fine Ruhi is with us so how does it affect. Kanak said it does. He is not at all guilty and moreover he is searching different target so we have to stop him . Ruhanika said but Kanak it's not easy and what if he doesn't fall in love with you and hurt you like the way he did to me. Kanak said I will not be hurt as it all will be the game plan for me he is going to be hurt. Uma said still I will not support it. Kanak said okay what about you guys. Ruhanika said it's risky.Kanak said there is a risk in everything let me do this . Ruhanika said but we will be there for you . Kanak asked Devika . She said I am confused but I want to tell you something . kanak asked is it related to rohit. Devika said no Kanak said so I don't want to hear right now I just want to focus only on thing. Devika said okay go ahead we are with you. Uma said what are you saying Devi . Devika said that Kanak is very stubborn she will do it so better we should support her . but still I want to say something. Kanak said later on and meeting was finished.

At afternoon Kanak was in her room and getting ready. Saras asked Uma what's happening. Uma said that there is a dance audition in college so she is getting ready for it and she stepped out of her room. She looked stunning in red dress and high heels . Saras said Kanak you are looking beautiful but you are going for dance audition or for beauty contest. Kanak said whatever just pray for me . Saras said sure I will pray for you may you win and come back. Kanak was about to leave Uma said let me drop you. Kanak said okay. Uma was quite all the way and stopped the car near the gate. Kanak said Uma I know you are upset with me but try to understand I can't bear this fact that he will escape without punishment. Uma said but what's a need you to do all this things we can hire a girl who will do this for us and pay her whatever she asked for. Kanak said so you liked the idea but not the fact that I am doing this right. Uma said maybe. Kanak said Uma I am responsible for myself but how can I take the responsibility of others and if anything happens to her I will not be able to forgive myself. Uma said and if anything happens to you I will not be able to forgive myself understand. Kanak said nothing will happen to me you all are with me . now wish me luck. Kanak left from the car.

Devika was thinking about how to say to Kanak she was waiting for her in college but Kanak didn't listen to her and left for audition. Uma noticed that devika is trying to say something and her behavior also changed towards him. He tried to talk to her but she avoided him and left.
