but I think Tamils are indeed seem to love people who does win their heart.
Dhoni for example, I doubt people in Ranchi are as crazy as they are in Chennai for him.

Btw I also read that Malayalam people don't like masala movies much but only if their own makes them, while Vijay's masala movies are super popular 😆

Yes Mallus go crazy even for Allu Arjun's dubbed masala movies. But the films made in Malayalam language are usually non-masala. Masala is just not their forte.

There is no Alia of the South because young actresses don't become superstars overnight. They don't have anyone backing them strongly, so they have to work for 3-4 years to prove their talent.

Among the current crop, Keerthy Suresh is the current IT girl. She is the same age as Alia I think.

I think their is certain charm in south movies. Even here in Shillong guys are crazy about South movies, hence most of them still watch the repeat telecast of most of the south movies.

Yes definitely. I am Telugu but I love watching Tamil and Malayalam movies more.

Malayalam movies are usually strong content oriented movies.
Telugu films are mostly commercial potboilers and entertainers.
Tamil films are a good mix of commercial and art cinema.
Kannada films.. well I don't think anyone takes Kannada films seriously except for the one or two odd really good (usually art) films they make. It is the weakest industry of the South.

I haven't seen much Kannada movies, the only movie I remember well is the Wanted remake lol.
Btw the most popular person of South here is not Allu Arjun or Prabhas or Vijay, it is Brahmanandam 🤣

I don't think South Indians favour an actor just because they're a native. Compared to Deepika, Katrina is more famous. Her film Malliswari was a blockbuster hit with repeat value. Rajnikanth is the biggest superstar, even though he's actually a Maharashtiran ie, not from the South.

Malliswari is my fav!! i love it so much 😃 they just don't make films like that anymore

telugu industry is obsessed with fair skin nowadays...there are so many north indian girls as heroines...very hard for localites to break into telugu and tamil industries...I guess malayalam industry is the only one which encourages their inhouse female talent
