By grey days, I was broadly referring to some of the less-than-stellar parts of his rulership- Chittor, his partiality/kindness towards those he loved, his weakness for Wine/opium and women, also a period during later life where he began seeing himself as God (though I do not think this lasted till his death🤔)

They are referring to the Maharana Pratap serial where he was depicted as the embodiment of villainy - Shehzade, Swine and Khalil all rolled into one. 😆

Despite all of the horrors that Ekta is capable of inflicting upon men as a whole, I think she did a decent job of Akbar till the horrible Sujamal track... an entire year, which has to be a record by her standards... after that of course, Emperor Akbar became roadside beggar to get his wife, and his wife eloped with common criminal Khaibar when pregnant!

There was no bringing the serial back after that..

Ekta created an enigmatic unparalleled Jalal in the first 80 episodes that was sheer magic.

Then she reduced him to a marshmallow with intermittent reprise upto Sujamal track.

Finally to a beggar with the Adham-vadh being the only silver lining.😡

but, before the Sujamal track, it was watchable and Akbar appreciable despite its loopholes!

So, Akbar was Shehzaade & Khalil in MP, was he? Well every serial needs a scapegoat... and Akbar has no Karni Sena or Jai Hindutva speaking up for him.

Nor protesting minorities.

for me errors were right from start , but still it was masaledaar watch...😆

sujamal track it was dragged , dragged & dragged , everything idiotic about it except maham...😛

my mother is watching rerun , it was the confrontation part & she laughed so much watching it again .

but, before the Sujamal track, it was watchable and Akbar appreciable despite its loopholes!
