When one song played a big role in giving movies momentum

Movies where one song had a big hand for the success of the movie. Yes the music album of the movie can be excellent, but sometimes one song which creates the maximum buzz and creates a platform for the movie.



Some examples from my side: Sun Saathiya for ABCD2, Tum Hi Ho for Aashiqui 2, Sheila ki Jaawani for TMK, Dilbar Remake for Satyamave Jayate.

BBD flopped like anything, Kaala Chashma was more like a hit on its own, but didn't did much for the movie.



Ram Leela's songs were rage but it didn't had like one song which was hyped everything more than others.

Nagada and Tatad Tatad were more popular than Ram Leela actually.

Beta(1992) received horrible reviews from the critics but went on to became blockbuster thanks to dhak dhak song. Interestingly the song was written for sridevi (its a copy of her iconic Telugu song abbanee tiyaani) but she turned down beta as she was doing too many films with Anil at that time and sadly it backfired as all her films in 1992 failed miserably at the box office!

Ah that is a very good example.

@Angel: Kabhi Kabhi Aditi did played a role, but it wasn't really what I would call a rage, something which brought much interest in the movie. Papu can't dance saala was a bigger hit for example.

I think TMK was a flop?

Madhuri's Raja (1995) . . All the songs were hits that year and the music album went on to become the second most sold album of 1995.
