CHAPTER 3
A new patient
Ready in his charcoal grey suit ,arnav was putting on his silver cuff links when suddenly his phone beeped
From: AMAN
Board Meeting re scheduled to 2pm.
Arnav looked at his watch and sighed. It was 8 :30 am now , what shall he do by going so early.
To: AMAN
Fine then meet you at one. Arrange a gala lunch for all the board members in the same hotel. Talk to the manager. And yup keep some chicken for me man ! di here is driving me mad with all her vegetarian holy week drama.
Arnav sighed. Di has said that for a few weeks no non veg would be cooked or eaten in shantivan , for some puja and vrat she wants to keep. She had made this a rule. but arnav showed a natural tendency to defy rules.

Arnav half smiled looking at the message and thought should he catch up on his sleep again . last night he had gone to a date with some model , mina , tina , rina he doesn't even remember her name. she got drunk and drunk and so drunk that she couldn't say a thing , let alone have a conversation about going into a relation. He had to then drop her home which was very far away from the main city. So he had gone to sleep quite late at about 2 am. He badly wanted to sleep but no , di will come and start her marriage lecture again. It is better he steps out of house only .He took out his phone and called his best friend Akash
" the meeting has been postponed , what say , lets hangout somewhere.
"hmmm ... how about the hospital?
" what , the hospital why?
"Payal had had a fracture right, I am taking her to get the plaster removed , wanna join?
" fine , waise bhi long time I haven't met her too.
"fine then see me at ten.
"k ,bye.
Saying that arnav cut the phone . akash was arnav's best friend since his college days he then joined AR capital as a manager. He then bought many shares and became a seven per cent share holder in the company. payal was akash's wife . last month she had suffered a tiny crack fracture in her left arm bone from a fall from a stool. It looked so tiny in the x-ray but it took 21 days and a huge plaster to heal.
Arnav wore his watch and sunglasses and moved towards the gate fast to hide himself from his di's hawk eyes.

" how boring is this man , I should have slept only! arnav said yawning. The old doctor was taking what seemed like hours to remove the plaster and akash and he were made to stand outside for some reason arnav didn't take the pain to listen to.
" shut up man , he needs to be extra cautious after all he is treating my delicate wife , princely boy. The doctor knows the husband is out here , if payal says even a small ouch I shall punch his nose off his old face. You won't understand now, wait till you fall into the death traps of love. Akash said slapping arnav's shoulder .
"delicate wife ? arnav mocked. " as much as I remember , the day after you had forgotten your first marriage anniversary * akash gulps * you had a major sprain ...
Arnav smirked as akash looked here and there remembering how payal had pushed him off the bed angrily, when he tried to apologize and romance her. He had to roam around with a waist belt for about a month.
" accha okay leave that , go and get me these meds na , I need to be here for payal. He said giving arnav a small list and pushing him away .
Arnav made a face and walked away to find the medical store. He walked through the corridors and stopped near a huge board where the list of doctors was written
SMT. SUNAYANA DEVI MULTISPECIALTY HOSPITAL .
He read his mother's name with pride , this was her dream when she was alive. His father had got this built in her memory and arnav knew his mother must have been smiling on him and his sister from heaven the day they inaugurated the hospital when di had qualified the NEET exam with flying colours , twenty years ago.
He remembered that fateful day when those rogues snatched his from him just for fun. Thankfully , his father had now come out of that dirty muck of mafia and already avenged his mother's death. But even when he was mafia ,the people knew that a raizada wouldn't kill anyone unless he has done a big crime. Raizadas had a reputation , they would catch the wrong doers ,then hand them over to the law.
He started reading the doctors names in the list :
Dr. S. Rodriguez - General physician ( all days.)
Dr. P.A. Kale - Cardiologist ( Heart specialist) - T/T/S
Dr. Somesh Bedi urologist and laproscopy specialist T/T/S
Dr. V. Roy gastroenterologist M/W/F

He stopped at the last name . khushi . such a beautiful name wasn't it , happiness ,it was just the thing his life was devoid of.
Suddenly he heard a small sound of tinkling anklets. He turned to see a young girl in a peach coloured plain salwar kurta , her face covered partially by her long dark brown hair. Although her hair was in a bun , the flits had covered her face. She had bent down to the height of a little boy and was offering him a chocolate saying something to him while putting a palm gently on a pregnant lady's protruding belly.
Arnav stood there staring her as a strange music echoed in his ears , he felt like suddenly , winds had become faster .
Rabba Vey...heee o Rabba Vey...
Eee...i shall show you our khushi in the next chapter!! You tell me how do you expect her to be?
Waise i have decided not to post the compensation till phir se is finished .
