Mauli is not just any Tom Dick or Harry she is Nnadini's close friend who has seen that she just now went through a painful miscarriage and still visits the hospital for her internal bleeding. How is it fair that Mouli at this point of time asks her to concieve again? What about Nnadini's health in all this? Isnt that plain and simple exploitation of someone who just went through a physical and mental trauma?
Keeping their friendship aside, I don't think Mauli who was so far shown to be a highly professional and dutiful doctor, would ask Nandini or any woman who is still suffering the consequences of the miscarriage or in plain terms physically unfit to carry a baby, to become a surrogate. From a logical and medical standpoint, it is not going to happen.
But assuming Nandini has fully recovered from the physical trauma and injuries and is delcared medically fit, then there is reason to worry and Mauli making such an ask itself comes across as extremely selfish and not to mention , goes against the very grain of her character. One can argue that Nandini has the choice to refuse. But keeping Nandini's character in mind, I won't be surprised if she accepts it . And Mauli being her friend should already know this.
However, with my experience of watching daily soaps(not that much honestly) I have always observed that the makers have a penchant for making the female lead extra mahaan. So in the event that the makers do go ahead with surrogacy, then in my view , the idea to make Nandini the surrogate would come from a third party, Mauli will vehemently refuse. But Nandini would somehow get to know of this and will accept to do it, not just as payback for everything but possibly out of guilt too. She'd probably also decide to go away after handing over the baby to Kunal and Mauli. But during her pregnancy phase or maybe after she leaves, Mauli may find out about Nandini's feelings for Kunal and may even want to go one step ahead in Mahanta. So while these two women compete against each other on who will make the bigger sacrifice, our Kunal Bhaiyya will stand like a furniture. Male leads are mostly turned into furniture by the end of the show. 😃
