A man - who doesn't trust women
- who never believed that there is something called true love
- who never believes that he is capable of loving someone other than his family
...experiences such an intense rush of emotions in such a short span of time
...he is totally confused- plus he carries a huge emotional baggage that bcoz everybody has to loyal to his partner ( committed one) (since his mother was not..he is very particular) ..plus guilt plus sense of responsibility towards his family and friends- that doesn't let him explore his emotions and feelings...
He doesn't know that Palak loves him..he is confused and disappointed with his dil that he couldn't control himself and kissed her..he might be thinking that Palak might think that he took adv of her and her vulnerable situation that night...I think that's what he was trying to tell her that ( when Ananya interrupted him) ...he was trying to tell her that he didn't have any deliberate intentions...don't go by his Casanova reputation... he will never do that to her...she was so special to him... he doesn't think that he had any right to kiss her...he is an engaged man...plus he doesn't know Palak loves him...
Besides he might be thinking that Palak deserves someone who will love her dearly and believes in the same kind of love that she does... not someone like him who is incapable of loving any woman (his own impression about himself)
