At least Shanno can be spirited and more real Anika like since the AU characters have that while fun vibe missing. Although I guess this will only be a couple of episodes ka thing. Forced shaadi to expected hi thi although I am wondering what is going to the reason to marry her. Of course D will brainwash Shivaay and Shivaay will fall for it hook line and sinker to begin with and of course combine that with fighting his own inexplicable attraction to Anika is going to be an explosive mix. Add Prinku to that and given the overdose of behen pyaar we have been fed it's enough to take us to a boom moment and tipping pointfor Shivaay. But why marry the girl? Let's see kya justification dete hain. Just please D ka jaldi end karo. I can't bear to watch too much of that guy. I'll take Shivasy being an ass over watching D. There is too much footage to side characters and not enough footage for Shivika's thoughts about each other and their reactions to each other. There is nothing ever shown about them reflecting on that. To me this is a huge missing element which makes the Redux fall apart. Otherwise random hit and miss writing toh hamesha se hi hai IB mein but here since this is not being shown it makes it feel like a DP story rather than a Shivika story. Original mein toh they were always thinking about each no matter what was happening around them. Ghoom phir ke it would come back to them. Dekhte hain post shaadi maybe that will change. Jo bhi hai D ka please pack up kara do.

thanks for the review AY. Disjointed hi sahi but this sounds like thodasa old IB vibe :). Shivasy seems more like Billuji and Shanno Rani's lingo has the old Anika feel. I have a feeling that HS after muting the characters is now herself struggling to work with these dull characters. So everyday some old characteristics are back. Perhaps before we know it AU Anika will also begin to sound like RU Anika and and Shivaay will have a Billu side to him which we are already seeing here and there. I won't ask any questions about this change but just unko lively bana do. Let the zing come back. Baki NM-SC sambhal lenge. I just saw a clip referencing kanji aankhein and it felt so good :). And daadhiwale motichoor. It's a wonder how NM kept a straight face shooting that scene 😆. Surbhi is such a talented girl and IB has utilised that well giving her so many things to play with and she aces all of them. Phate doodh ka pedha [:))]. Just reading it is cracking me up 😆. Thank god for some light relief. The Payal drama was getting boring. And smitten Billuji trying to pretend otherwise even to himself is familiar territory 😆. Taking Anika's name every now and then while telling everyone else not to is like old days. Only missing thing being Dadi and OmRu calling him out :). Kuch bhi dedo just tone down on DP drama. Too much screen time they get.
As for the slow pace once again I guess if both NM and SC are going to be away drag to hoga hi. Although they did manage NM's absence very well last time. He had more screen time while he was in Japan than he usually has while he is in Mumbai :). I remember a couple of episodes when he was on screen the entire 20 mins :). So let's see how they manage this time.

the whole premises of Anika wanting to save Prinku ka life and now Payal and her honewala baccha is far fetched its very difficult to sit through the whole drag saga...

@AY : of course the real reason will be that he can't bear her marrying anyone else 😆. Jab engagement ring nahi dekh sakta toh shaadi kya dekhega. And that was before the drunken heart to heart. Billuji you ain't fooling anyone. 😆. And the on the surface reasoning kuch half baked hi hoga. Like most things in IB. Saw the mandir wala pic. Raat mein mandir mein akele main shaadi again has a strong IPK feel to it. Add to that behen pyaar and supposedly jija par dore dalna as the catalyst. Makes it seem even more like that. But maybe actual episode may it may play out differently. Since many things have seemed like that but been different.

@AY: Actually the original characters were sketched so well that they had so much scope to play around with them and have them do every thing from poignancy to nautanki and they could sell it convincingly. They could give them just about anything to do and make it believable. Like RU Anika was madcap enough to do a KRR. I could well imagine her choosing an OTT avatar as camouflage and be kicked about her own performance and Billuji reprimanding her for overdoing it :). Because that Anika was a real live wire. This Anika is so dull that while Shanno Rani is fun it's a lot harder to believe this Anika doing a Shanno Rani. But like I said I won't ask any questions. Just let Shanno Rani be an excuse for AU Anika to kick start talking about kanji aankhein and the like and bring some of the lingo back. She already said raita phail jaayega in the Friday episode I think :).
