It's from Chennai, there a video of Chennai lawyers hitting the accused rapists. And nobody is gona fight there case. South india is better than north india I feel. The rape cases are lesser and people don't tolerate injustice.

While its indeed safer when compared to delhi/UP, but u do have to admit that most cases related to child abuse never gets reported in fear of family reputation being spoiled or parents never knowing it.Recently in salem a 7 yr old child was sexually abused for over 6 months by boys from the same school.when doc who came for medical checkup found it and informed the parents, they reportedly told her they cant file complaint against those boys because they are from the same caste/relatives! only after she informed media and police, they were put in jail.

Same used to happen here in our town, everybody was like "Shillong is not like Delhi, we are safest for Girls", and than after few years one of the most horrific rape case happened in the city, when a young teen was raped by few underaged boys and than killed. Does that mean Shillong has suddenly became unsafe for women?? No, because it was never safe for women. Until the time people believe their place cannot have such issues, it will never change. Also blaming the whole region, nation and so on in a trolling manner always lessens the actual crime's impact and take the issue into nationalism, communalism and socialism issues. Bluntly blaming whole nation or community never leads to change, rather it diminishes the real issue and people start to defend. And that is nature, people feel weak alone, they try to find a common factor to feel strong, and when that common factor and its product is questioned, they feel vulnerable and act insecurely.

Just look at a small example, when due to few stupid fans when we blame the whole fandom, even the sanest fans react in a defensive and insecure manner. Mistakes of individuals should be thrown on whole group as it leads to division of the larger and the most important group, that is humanity.
