Arnav is restless to see Khushi. He anticpates how she would look and is taken aback by the way she looks. Is he able to sense her discomfort in the clothes that don't seem as though they were for her? I wouldn't be surprised. He is able to read the sadness in her eyes and look under the veneer of sophistication that she has worn. An instant connection or the eyes of an artist that notices everything?
Why is she dressed in such clothes anyways? I don't remember Arnav laying out a dress code. He asks her to be his muse...shouldn't the way she looks be his vision too?
Did Shyam somehow come to know about Arnav's intention of painting his wife and demand that he paint her in the clothes she wore?
Khushi's lack of confidence is not surprising. It's a classic symptom of person who has been abused. I used to wonder why, when someone knows they are being abused, do they still stay on in the relationship. When you think about it, the humiliation one must suffer in such a situation must be unbearable and yet women stay in such relationships and have been...for ever. But then again, this very factor must prevent a woman from letting anyone else know about the situation they are in. I cannot imagine telling anyone that my husband hit me and yet, I cannot imagine staying in a relationship like that! Rock and hard place!
I thought Khushi finding out about her babies was the push she needed to leave Shyam...but to my shock, she still stayed with him after she found out about his betrayal. Why. Was Shyam blackmailing her into doing what ever he wanted? Was her MIL a factor? The lady seems to be nice enough, caring. Did she know about her son's dark side? Was she trying to keep Khushi safe as much as possible? Would Arnav be the push now?
I love how you have brought out the contrasts in Khushi. Her referral of Arnav as Arnavji inspite of her external appearance being one of a modern woman(I am referring to the day Arnav and Khushi first met...not the Khushi she chose to be when Arnav painted her). Her caring about what her MIL would think inspite of going to pose for a man she just met. What a bundle of contrasts she is! Throughly enjoying the story!!
P.S. My comment was for both Part3 and Part 4 together. Sorry, just read both parts now.
