Indeed, the CGI on Indian telly and even the melodrama is so juvenile, it just puts a lot to shame.

Infact, I think, there is nothing really watchable on Indian telly atm. I am following bits of Bepanaah and SBRK, trust me, everything is so predictable and cliche. Yes, the actors have mettle but where is the freshness. Not comparing, I recall sitting for Season 1 of IPK and waiting for the epis with baited breath. With IPK1, my interest in Indian TV died an untimely death.

Ah, Gilmore Girls is what I am looking forward to.

IPKKND and Reporters (after it finished) are the only telly serials, I watched from start to end. I tried to watch few of others but nothing worked.

I remember when IPK EBP promo aired there was so much negativity, just for taking the name. I watched few episodes and lost interest soon. Even though I liked Jenny-Gautam pair in SC and the BGM, the Haveli backdrop is not my thing ( One of the main reason I don't watch SLB movies ). Then tried Madhubala after the leap. Eventually gave up TV shows all together.

Yeh Hai Aashiqui is a good Anthology series , It's available in Youtube (4 seasons). Also there are many good shortfilms in YT too. (Chutni, Juice)

Not following many ongoing FFs just two, Bound by blackmail and Dillagi.

In finiished FFs Intoxication, Saffron field, An Unforgettable Night

Peaky blinders looks great :D I love what ever BBC makes :P although I like the Victorian era dramas (any takers for North and South here? 😳) more but this one looks amazing ... 8.8 rating is good enough for me to give it a try... Not sure how i never saw this in any search... I love Cillian Murphy from all Nolan movies ... his eyes has something surreal about it ... I could never place it if its scary or holy ...

Cillian Murphy is a fabulous actor, He is my one of my favorite. I liked him since Red Eye. Did't watch many of his movies, hopefully one day.

There is a famous description about him "He looks like a choirboy possessed by Satan"

Its not surprisingly at all that most actors have slowly moved to the space of web for creative liberty and easy money. Plus, its a win win for fans and actors too, the stuff is brilliant , imo.

ALT has lovely series there. That reminds me of Sobti's upcoming series as well. TGIDF, any takers ??

Sanaya did a great job in both film and she got an opportunity to show case multiple emotions in that short span of time. One is a thriller (Dum Dum Dumroo) and other is a romatic (Pihu) story. I am glad with her script choices. She received 3 awards for best actor in different film festival.

She is playing the main lead in Vikram Bhatt upcoming web series Zindabaad. I heard it's a political thriller. She is essaying the role of a RAW agent along with Pankaj Dheer, Vikram Bhatt, Sana Khan and Anirudh Dave. Correct me if I am wrong. If it's true I will wait until it get released on YT.

Tanhaiyaan was nicely made... i liked it like watching a nice music video from the 2000s ... but otherwise story was just ok ok ... could have been more considering the quality short films these days

Talking about what Sobti could do ... anyone remember show called Dehleez? thats the quality I miss in Indian shows

Tanhaiyan was good. I watched it only once but I remember the story was bit off but nicely made. I am glad that they released all episodes together. I will lose interest if they release episodes 1 week apart. Even for the English web series i will wait until all episodes are uploaded then do a marathon. 😃.

I already have prime membership in multiple Over-the-top media services. Not planning to subscribe to ALT or other apps 😔. Will they ever release it in YT or Amazon. Anyway best wishes for his project.

Also, to cure myself of ipk 3 induced nausea and haunting by the pigeons and clothes etc etc ...I rewatched the first season till remarriage .. all episodes ... I loved dehleez too

Idk, choices vary but somehow ASR1 is immortal and irreplaceable.
Even those that Sobti would have enacted the role to perfection, despite the shoddy script, I don't think anyone could have outdone ASR1. Period.

Hmm, on the note of Tanhaiyaan, I pretty much liked everything except the script. SObti and SJ were darn good.

I have seen most of the shows you have mentioned. MATH I saw for Hiten- Gauri, I just love their pair.

MB was decent initially but later on took a beating.
IPK EBP was defo better than third instalment.

Oh, haven't checked the FFs you have mentioned. Will probably try when I get some time.
