Thanks Neha, Kavi.

Someone uploaded a good quality vid on u tube. So I was watching it again. I liked the movie despite the fictional characters. The basic theme and the storyline still remained intact. Back in the 90s I never liked the movies Akshay did. But lately he has been doing some good movies...Airllift, Padman, TEPG, Rustom...I liked all of them...good content...

Yes Akshay's transformation from a jumping monkey to a sensible actor is commendable.

Have you seen Twinkle's interview on Koffee with Karan? Essentially she told him they can have a second baby only if he does meaningful cinema, well it worked😆

I admire all his new movies starting with Baby. Even Holiday with Sonakshi Sinha was amaze for it's story. Did you know there was a movie called as Phullu before Padman on similar theme? Director Saxena who hangs out with RD was involved in it. There are posts on his insta which accuse Padman of copying their theme, posters, etc.

Looking forward to GOLD, the teaser has me excited!

That time of the month - it used to be very strict in few of my maternal uncle's houses. They made their wives follow because my grandmother did it in her time. My aunts are so educated actually Professors in their fields and yet they followed at home. They couldn't touch anything in the house, were given special utensils and everything they touched during 'that' time would have to be rewashed after 'that' time. No entering kitchen, even glass of water they had to wait for someone. I am thankful I didn't grow up like this. It is not that strict the way they are showing in YUD. It is not about Ahmedabad or any city just the mindset of people. Infact one of my married friends here in US back in the 2000s was doing the same 'touch-me-not' and I was like 😲She wanted a 2 bedroom apartment specifically for this reason, she would be in the 2nd room during 'that' time.

People just didn't understand why something were done in the past and blindly followed the same😡. Lack of hygeine, where were sanitary products back in the olden days ? More importantly, rest for the women during that time. Only womenfolk can understand the amount of discomfort during those times.

I don't get why entering puja room or going to temples is wrong even. Doesn't make sense. Again, only to give the women rest so as to not do anything was the intention but people over the years made it different. I used to argue with my mom about this, God gave this natural process to women why would make us impure. My mom poor thing wouldn't have any answer by the end of it she would say do whatever you want and leave. 😆

same with me and my mom😆😆...she didnt have answers and gave up on me😛😛...

@Neha(dilse) - yep the forum has changed a lot...many of the original members stopped posting there since long time...and new members started...i think this always happens...whenever a show starts with a promising premise...members analyse, critique, rant...some where down the line the crapfest starts and original members leave...new ones come in and bhagaofy the old ones who dont want to mess around arguing😕😕

@Neha (NikiAries) - same here...i have been in the forum for almost 7 years...7 months before I made my first ever post😆😆😆...and only in the last 7 months I changed to goldie😆😆😆

My thoughts are exactly the same regarding going to temples or praying during that time of the month. These rules were not enforced by my parents, so it was never problematic for me, but it is quite commonly followed by most other Gujarati women I know. I've had discussions with them several times about it, and while I don't understand it myself, I do get that many feel very strongly about it, and so I respect their views.

Niice! Maybe someday we can all meet up.
BTW on YPN forum I saw some people complaining where is the Pyaar in the serial. Seriously can't desi audience enjoy a good plot without unnecessary eyelocks and hugs🥱
