Just look at at example of SRK . He never allowed any gossip about his private life and media , no matter how they tried, never could do it.
His friendship with Kaajol also never got any second interpretation.

When you care about your partner, you never let media play around with it
When you are not serious about something then only you jsut dont care what the media is saying.

Pinku,u remember how Karan Johar was not "allowed" to host anuj saxena's sward show 🤢 similarly, he may not cast Rajeev, atleast in the beginning! he may, once Raj becomes a big celeb in films!
