Oh my God. I don't have a child but whenever I will have, I know I won't even trust my husband with the baby let alone any strange person be it man or woman.

Like said child abuse is still veiled in secrecy, I had seen a case in the building I live in... It was early morning like 3-4 am when the auntie came banging on doors and crying, the abuser was her own husband and the victim was her own daughter... The lady had gone to visit her mother and when she entered the house with spare keys she saw her husband literally penetrating her child. On questioning the girl she confessed that it wasn't the first time, her dad used to hit her and do dirty things and her mom knew everything... Neighbours asked to file a police case but we don't know how and when but the couple fled with the girl overnight and they couldn't be traced ever since. The most disgusting thing was that the dad said fruits of the tree must be tasted by the roots first! It was heinous, disgusting and disappointing for a mother to take her daughter and flee with her husband. We still aren't over it hope that girl is fine now :(

It's really sad that the women in India are brought up and brainwashed with this thinking of putting their husband's and family's honor above everything. It's usually the mothers who let their children down. It's the mothers who stay silent and don't let their daughters or kids in general don't speak up against abuse. They fear for their honor and they fear that the society will judge them and nobody will marry the kid. They think their life is nothing without their husbands. Hell, what kind of a life are they giving their kids where their own fathers are monsters?

I wish they would leave such bas***ds, tell everyone about their deeds and protect their children. I just wish the mentality would change. But unfortunately India is a land of clashes. If there are few progressive mentalities nowadays, there are many regressive thinking people too who tolerate such crimes and will continue to.
