May!! I read this last night, but didn't get a chance to comment on this sooner. I'll be honest with you- this was one of the best OS on Samaina that I've read and much can be attributed to the simplicity with which you defined the emotions here. It was so true to the show and the current track. I'm so happy you brought in the topic of chacha-chachi quarrel- this was one thing where I felt chachaji was absolutely wrong. What gives you the right to throw out your wife like this? After 20 years of settling in your family, does she not have any right on her own home?
And then the way you broached the topic where Naina reveals she fell in love with Sameer at first sight- that was so endearing! The situation couldn't have been better dear! Naina made Preeti realize she shouldn't think of someone for his looks or for his riches...n her line when she said- Sameer car ki jagah cycle pe aata to bhi mujhe koi fark nahi padta! Wow! That took my heart away along with Sameer's. Frankly saying, he's good looking, he's rich- it's easy for him to get girls, who can even fake love to him for entirely different reasons. He knows that Naina truly loves him, but her words acted as a reassurance to both Sameer and your readers! Splendid!
I also liked the gang getting together n chatting...n Samaina sitting a li'l above on the stairs- that's so relatabe...you want to be with your group, yet a couple would want some privacy too! And when Sameer starts getting flirtatious over the phone, and the way he ends Naina's insecurities saying he'll put his house under her name, so that she never has to live in the fear that he'll change after marriage. He's already an ideal husband! Plus, the way Naina says, it shouldn't be just her name or just his name- it should be their house- they place that'll be home for them both!!
A lovely concept and beautifully written!
