season 2 did a greater damage overall & their is not even a token explanation for absence of Navya, Aliya ... which is so weird considering how important all these character were in S1 & S2...
but still this S3 is better then S2 IMO and will make we want to watch it 😆😆

But I feel whatever evolution RY is going for is a hit or miss...some things are good, some not so good...she says she's shown an evolved Nandu who's more comfortable with intimacy etc having traveled with and lived with Manik on and off for the last 4 years...but in the show, it feels like the FB "romancing" scenes are more gratuitous rather than nicely imagined.
The biggest problem is that this so called evolved Nandu is more Niti than Nandu😆...there is hardly any difference left...which is a problem cuz Niti is not a likeable character while Nandu was quite beloved...not just cuz she was more "innocent" as RY seems to indicate but cuz she was the right balance of innocence yet smart strength...now she's just like Niti...a mess of impetuous PMS-ing emotions😆
Manik initially had some logic for his issues, his baggage...but then it all got extra dumb when all of a sudden he's like I need Nandu to hate me cuz she loves me too much :S...lol whatever explanation RY has for that in her head has NOT translated effectively onscreen...Manik already went through all his baggage when he was falling in love with Nandini...now all of a sudden after 6 years, the same baggage is his reason to say he's too "dark" for Nandini and she deserves some other "humesha" blah blah? lol...do they even realize that's making it sound like Manik had his fun with Nandu for 6 years and now that she asked for commitment he balked and is playing victim in a weird twisted way? 😕😆...and I'm suppose to find this all oh so interesting and likeable to watch? Umm no😆...RY's reasoning isn't translating onscreen and I dunno if she realizes that since she's talking about how the script was locked well in advance for this season...lol
Also major disconnect for me with them showing a mahaan positive Nyo...well that's just POINTLESS then...lol waapis hi kyun laaye Nyo ko? Grey was what worked for her character...not this saintly version.
RY is trying to give closure to pata nahin whom...I can happily say I got closure in season 1 only aise toh...I didn't need a rehashing of "Darkness is good" wala Manik trying to make Nandu hate him for some lame reason and then predictably doing some stars/fireflies wala proposal again...lol aise hi milta hai happily ever after? Upar se being surrounded by the dumbest character in KY2...Mukti...prancing around in tacky kachhe...where is RY's explanation for all that? lol cuz she doesn't have one...so bolegi nahin.
I dunno why everyone loves that random Valentine's epilogue so much...that was also just flashbacks...no real new content.
