CAUTION:~ The chapter is short, way shorter than my previous updates. But this is all what I wanted to show, hopefully you will forgive me for the length of the update.
Instalment 6 B
"When two hearts are meant to be together,
no matter how long it takes
no matter how far they go
no matter how tough it seems
Love will bring them together,
Bind them to each other forever...

Sunheri opened the door hesitantly and to her relief found none of the goons but Neil on the threshold of the house. She welcomed him inside, exhaling her fears with carbon dioxide. Neil gave her a nervous smile before stepping inside the house. The house was in a complete mess, baffling Neil to the core. He turned towards Sunheri and questioned,
'What has happened, Sunheri?'
'Neil wouldn't it be better if we sit down and talk. Please.' Sunheri replied. Neil nodded and strode further till a small chair and made himself comfortable on it.
'What would you like to take?' Sunheri asked, being courteous.
'A glass of water, that should do.'
Sunheri motioned Tara, latter obliged and traced her steps to kitchen. Few moments later, she came back with a glass of chilled water and few biscuits in a tray. She placed it on children's bed and the twin sisters left the arena to give space for Sunheri and Neil to talk.
'Ye sab kya hai, Sunheri?' Neil asked when he heard click of the closed door, indicating at the scattered and shattered things. Sunheri drew a deep breathe inside before replying,
'Iss area ke gunde aaye the apna money collect karne ke liye. Humne mana kiya tha dene se toh unhone ye...' She couldn't complete her sentence yet message reached to the other party.
'kitne time se...' Neil enquired.
'Two years. Since two years this problem arose for us.' Sunheri replied. 'Have some biscuits, naa.' She tried to divert his attention.
'No, it's OK. Thank you.' Neil denied. Unomfortable silence spread across the room.
'Waise bachon ki Jaan didi.. wo kaha par hain.' Neil asked, breaking the silence. Sunheri's eyes grew wide and she began playing with her fingers, which went unnoticed by Neil who was looking towards the other side. Sunheri wondered what to reply when she heard him re-iterating his words,
'Sunheri where is she? Can I meet her?' Neil sounded impatient.
'She..she actually..has gone to the market.' Sunheri put up a serious expression and answered as a matter of fact, when in fact it was anything but the truth.
Sorry for lying Neil! But right now Avni is not in a state where she can meet you. And you too aren't in proper state to understand her reasons. Hope you will forgive me. Sunheri thought with a regret. Neil nodded with a crestfallen face. He stood up, deciding to leave when he turned back again.
'If you need any help, do let me know. No hesitations.' Neil stated. 'Can I have your number, please. Only if you don't mind.' He continued. She dialled his number on her phone as dictated by him. Giving a ring to his mobile, she cut the call immediately.
'Milte hain.' Neil bid adieu to her. Sunheri heaved a sigh of relief seeing him leaving.
Neil turned behind, miserable feeling again creeping inside him. There was none except Sunheri at the threshold but he felt as if his whole existence resided in that house. He looked up towards the blazing hot sun and wondered aloud,
'What is it that pulls me to this house. Why do I feel such an inexplicable emotion when I am leaving? Good lord, please help me.'
'Neil, any problem?' Sunheri questioned. Neil nodded a 'no' and immediately drove off.
Avni stood at the window of her room, too flabbergasted to utter a single word. Neil, her Neil, was there right in front of her eyes in all his flesh and blood hale and hearty, in Kashid, few moments ago at her very own house. Avni rushed to open her room's door to find an equally anxious Sunheri.
'Sunheri----Neil---what is he---doing here.' Avni fumbled owing to the shock she received.
'Avni, calm down. He's gone, don't worry.' Sunheri tried to explain.
'How did he reach here? Does he know that I'm...I'm alive and living here.' Avni voiced her fears.
'Avni please shaant ho ja. Use tumhare baare mein kuch pata nahi hai, hum log kal use mile the Annual Fest mein. He doesn't know about your whereabouts. Tu tension mat le.'
'Sunheri...Neil...' Avni broke down.

Neil sat on bed, trying to calm himself down. And the speed in which his thoughts swept across him, he couldn't find serenity even for a fraction of second. Ali sat in the typical Indian style on the couch opposite to Neil, reading a magazine. He grew irritated as the silence grew thicker in room. He stood up, dusting off imaginary debris from his pants, marched to sit beside Neil.
'Neil, enough is enough. Why are you behaving like this, what happened to you Neil. You were never like this. Ho kya gaya hai tumhe Neil, jabse Sukoon Ghar ke baare mein suna hai, you became obsessed with its residents, especially some Jaan didi of those kids. Answer me Neil.' Ali vented out his frustration.
'Nahi hai mere paas koi jawab' Neil stood up in anger, 'I don't have answers to any of your questions, Ali. Koi jawab nahi hai mere paas. All that I know and realized is that house is important for me, very important for me. I get strong vibes of Avni's presence in that house. And I will make sure the house and its residents remain safe, sound and happy. At whatever costs I can't lose out the peace I was searching for since last ten years, like a thirsty man in middle of desert searches for water body. That's all I know and wish to know.' Neil stormed off in anger.
