Sometimes your brain becomes too numb to react. I have been in such situation. There are also times when they would just touch you and disappear in the crowd, won't even give you the chance to react. It just frustrates you.

Thanks everyone for your sincere, honest, real stories and Hippo is with you on this and I am happy that some of you slapped those perverts. Please understand that everyone is with you and trust you and will never doubt you. We cannot even think about defending these low lives over you.

Problem here is that you should also not relate your real life stories to this story. Do not make this mistake. I liked that some of the female members here kept caution.

When I am having doubts rest assure there is something. I was watching a news show and I am coming to know of things that they were seen together at a birthday party 3 days back. There are pictures all over where both are seen in poses which she is now minding (hand around the waist)

And no i did not support khilji lol. If he is a rapist he can rot in hell. I made the case that accusation of rape was not substantiated by facts and my research and i quoted indian historians did not give a rape angle. He was a conquerer...so yes I agree he must have killed people. Anyway I am not going to defend him and take rallies for him like those sobs who were doing that for rape of a girl. Khilji can burn in hell fire .. However that debate did not go anywhere so dont use that as something to corner me..i am not a fanatic.

Anyway so yes lets hold on..more info is coming and it seems this is case of some other issue.

Ali Zafar and his mother have said that they will go to court

She and others themselves did not go to police as Ms. Savitri mentioned..nor they sought any remedy from courts..media and this incident was 5-6 year old. If you are that correct and that right then bring all those witnesses and tell truth on oath in court. Why are you afraid? You dont need cameras...u can bring people as evidence.

In the end no one will support a molester..he is not our relative..but i wont take a side also and give this lady a clean chit specially what I am coming to know through news media.

This is precisely the reason women are scared of speaking against an act like this. Then you start looking for reasons that it happened to you. I remember two guys(in their car)followed me and a friend of mine till our homes several years ago. I was dressed in a pair of cargo pants and a fitted T-shirt and coincidentally I had gotten catcalled in that outfit earlier too and that made me hate the outfit even though it was one of my favourites. Now that I think about it, it was such a silly excuse.

It's infuriating how these lechers and low life have control over you. We need to be strong and support each other wholeheartedly, not let them dictate our lives.

Wow. I mean the reactions on some of the cases like Kangana's and this one truly amaze me. It's become a norm to forget about evidences and objectivity and jump on someone based on their religion or gender. "Justice for Asifa ? There are so and so hindu girls raped then why you demand justice for Asifa ?? "A Rahul can be innocent ? There are 95% cases where it's MEN who're proven guilty and repeat sexual offender, how can Rahul be NOT guilty ?? Gawd the arguments !!

Well, just because she's a woman, she doesn't become a victim automatically. Hope she is able to get justice if she was indeed abused (in any form) else she's just end up in being exposed like Kangana in future.

The problem is when you guys (women) share the same opinion like few others here people respect it as one's point of view. But if the same is done by a guy they automatically assume the worst out of him. Kyun bhai why can't we give a valid opinion if we are having some reservations and need some insight before coming to said conclusion without being tagged as anti women or some heartless bigots.

I know women who have suffered at hands of men. I know men who have suffered similarly. Some had their careers ruined, bank accounts drained and character assassinated in neighbourhoods.I seriously hope one of them is punished to the fullest extent of law. Just look at what happened with Mohammed Shami. His wife went bat shit cray and accused him of all vile things. Now she's trying to get back with him or fix things up but the damage is done. He went thru hell.

If we truly believe and stand up for equality then we should not assume one over the other or afford one gender all the immunity and take everything coming out of their mouth as gospel truth.

One of them should be prosecuted to the fullest extent or the law.

This is true too.
A man's opinion is shunned very easily in such a case. It's like the No Uterus, No opinion thingie. Raped/sexually abused men fear coming out in open too coz apparently for a man any sex is good sex. I believe people need to look at a man and a woman as equals first. Every one has a different brain and can understand a situation more or less by their rationality. Like everyone understands that a bad touch is bad. Full stop.

Bossji, hippoji, Ur points are also right. Good that Ali Zafar is going to court. Anything that helps truth come out should be always welcomed.
Yea, few women do use their women card so easily to gain benefits. Have seen a few cases happening around. Also read about a few in newspapers. Esp the in-laws related laws.

Even read about a few cases where consensual relations were turned into molestation cases when the guys didn't fulfill the girls wishes.

Let's hope the truth comes out soon.

I will speak for many guys here on this forum it hurts us to see and read about what some of you girls have gone thru by those men. If we could turn back time or do something about it we would. Men like that gives a bad name to all. They make life hard for the rest of us. We can't even genuinely ask some girl on the street about some lost address or direction without her thinking we are some scumbag. I will own up and admit we deserve that. We had it coming.
But at least don't make it sound like it's a God given right for women to be always right and truthful and we should cut them some slack and look the other way even if there are few apprehensions. Don't make it about you are either with us or against us type of thing.

I know what you mean. I feel sad when I see myself being able to participate freely in such issues and arguments, but my husband, who I think is a very decent man, cannot although he holds the same opinion as mine. And no, I am termed as bigot and heartless too when I try to talk about a specific case and don't start badmouth entire gender/caste/religion over a definite case. Like I said, objectivity has become a long lost concept these days.

I am a true blue feminist. I am not judging this Meesha woman for saying something but the same way I cannot judge Ali Zafar too. Now if one wants to call me fake feminist, then be it. But as a feminist, I demand a society with equal rights, equal privilege and equal-everything, not a society where men need to be terrorized or traumatized for some basic things like speaking up. It's like, in current scenario, a woman would be traumatized to board a coach designated for men. Even in emergency case, she will not board it worrying about her safety. Same way there are cases where a man has been thrown out of a running train by a group of women why because he boarded the ladies' coach. I am sure he must have thought several times before he boarded a coach full of ladies knowing he was going to be minority, I am sure he must have had some valid reason to do an illegal act to explain in front of TTE. But that didn't help and he died. This too, to some people is extremity, they give arguments like "if a woman is feeling unsafe, let a man feel the same, if a woman is guaranteed rape in that situation, let a man die too if he does the same, why not, this is equality". Wow. I feel while fighting for every good reason, let's not forget about the basic humanity. Let everyone feel safe and make a trust-based society. Let's punish those who commit crime and let's not harass everyone by generalizing on religion or gender.

I was so busy in my frivolous back n forth with Chalbaaz that i missed some of the very upsetting personal experiences shared here until now ..

I sincerely hope that the world becomes a better place to live in .. There's a long way to go .. Every other day a disturbing news pops up which just kills the desire to live anymore .. Let's hope , what doesn't kill you makes you stronger .. Be the part of the change you wish to be .. Hope for a better tomorrow ... I think at least corporate culture is much better these days .. There is zero tolerance policy in my workplace & the girls/ women are very responsible in using the protection provided them .. But that's just my perspective , I am curious to know if working women here on this forum feel completely safe at their workplace .. I mean it would largely depend on the nature of your work but I think corporate culture these days pays a lot of attention to such things, doesn't it ? ..

All this talk of equality is well and good but the world isn't inherently based on equality esp desi society. Its what we all want but it's not the reality. When it becomes an everyday thing for a woman to grope a man's crotch in public surrounded by people, then we can say let men and women be judged and punished with the same parameters because that would mean women hold that sort of power too to traumatise. The balance of power in society isn't equal so what gender equality in terms of benefit of the doubt. For every 1 Sami case, there are 10,000 cases that were proved so why make the exception the judging parameter I would never understand. And sure let men have say, like they do in everything in society. But I don't think most men understand the extent of sexual harassment in everyday for women hence their first response is 'show me proof'. Its like taking their opinions on periods. Most men never face it and therefore know nothing about it and therefore I'd prefer if they didn't opine about it.
