Part 34

Her car was parked in front of her office building. Great! She was there he thought.
He walked straight up to her cabin not many in the staff were there this late in the office. Adhi came rushing and stopped him.

Adhi -so..so..soory sorry sir! Ma..am..maam is busy

Maan - ADHI .. he was stern & pushed the door of her cabin

When the door opened, he was shocked. Answer to his questions was... never!

(never can they ..)

Handsome Aryan had Geet in his arms.
Aryan - Oh my God! Maan he said when he saw him

He made a dramatic step away from Geet

Aryan - I'm... I'm really sorry... I didn't mean to...

He thought he saw shame on his face.

Geet looked cold as she was.

Maan was irritated at his fate.. Not this again! When can his relationships not end with another man on the background?
he composed himself and with all the courage he could muster

Maan - I just wanted to tell you that you don't need to come to my parents anniversary. It's better that way. I'll be the one to tell them that it's over.

he stared up at Geet

He refused to show any emotions. He was definitely not morning over some girl who wasn't really his. At least not in front of her.

Maan - whatever it was . .. he paused .. he had to make it clear ..we are... over

He didn't wait for her reaction and just left.

Next couple of days the media was filled with Geet and Aryans news. Some collaboration stuff. He hated himself for feeling hurt.

Maan called Sasha - can you come with me for the anniversary party

Sasha - And if they look for Geet, what will you tell them?

Maan sighed - I will cook up some thing. That we're taking time off. That I wasn't ready. Geet is a wonderful girl,(he sounded so dreamy when he said) but she was too serious about getting married and I'm not ready for that commitment yet. Plus, she is in California most of the time.
Sasha looked at him - And what will you really do about Geet, Maan?
Maan took a deep breath- She is not my girlfriend. She is... my boss apparently. I'll keep working on this, until the profits start coming in. And then I'll look for other opportunities. Don't worry, you can take over. You are way better than me.

Sasha - You didn't have to do that, Maan, I spoke to the manager, Geet has no intention of pulling out her investment
Maan gritted his teeth - why don't you get it. I don't want to owe her anything anymore, Sasha
Sasha - ok I will see u at the airport.

They landed in India. This time the place didn't remind him of Nt. all he could think about was Geet. He tried to shake his thoughts.

Maan almost choked when he saw Geet outside the airport. She was leaning on the car

Maan - Wh-what are you doing here?
she was wearing a pair of pitch-dark shades, he couldn't see her eyes. She looked stunning her simple salwar.

The cold look on her face matched the glacial tone of her voice.

Geet - If you want to end this, let's end it together.

Maan was irritated to hear the end word from her mouth - What do you mean? You're gonna come with me to my parents' anniversary so we can tell them that we're over?
Geet said rather coldly - Yeah, why not? That's what you wanted, right?
He took a deep breath - It's gonna be harder for me to tell them if you're there!
Geet the kind of person she was - Then it's gonna be harder. I'm sorry, jaan, but if there's one thing I will not make easy for you, this is it. Aur kuch bhi tum maang lathe..

Maan tried to avoid the mess, he didn't want to have any bitter memories of her - Sasha is supposed to come with me

Geet replied yet in the same tone - no she is not. She probably on her way with sam.

Then she motioned her hand for him to get into the car. "Sir
he groaned and then he got in.

She told the driver to take them to Khurana Mansion. They drove off in silence. Maan looked out the window. His heart was thudding against his chest.
He wanted to touch Geet. He thought she looked even more prettier than she did the last time he saw her. Only then, her expression were warm and jolly, like he was perfect in her eyes. But now, the look on her face was serious and irritated. Like she was hated every bit of him.

She told the driver to increase the volume. Like she wanted him to know she was in no mood to talk. And somewhere he was glad about that. He didn't know what to say to her either.

Now that he is getting exactly what he wished for, it is pinching him. Sad to see him so... Worst to see geet trying to act all so indifferent.

Awesome update maan barged in geet cabin only to see her in Aryan arms he was again back to where he was except geet madly loves him and Aryan was just consoling her but maan again mistook him he broke it off with her but geet gonna give him a hard time good gaddhe ko jhatka lagna chahiye she loves him so much but still he can't commit to her the biggest gestures a girl gives is giving herself to a man and Gert did that without any commitments but now I love how geet whipping him can't wait for next update

Loved this part and how Geet is treating him now. He totally deserves it and as Geet said, she had made a lot of things easy for him but Maan in his confusion and inner conflict took her for granted.waiting for next to see how it all unfolds now.
