I guess none of the serials of Sunday Maha episodes have any major events in the story but still ZM kept it just because they want to clash CM's BB event on same evening.

i think they have shifted the timing of maha-epi of MNB (the most popular serial in the ZM stable) to clash with BB opening.
Looks like ZM is now feeling threatened by Nikhil Sane's moves at CM. Wonder how many of loyal ZM viewers will shift to BB on CM.

I think MNB is still safe.
Others could be threatened.
Plus zm has no reality show. Only daily soaps and chyd.

They have recently failed miserably with reality show SRGMP. Now HM is only reality show going on. Overall still ZM is far ahead of competition. But they are certainly wary after NS and others exit.

The inertia of the viewers is the big obstacle for Colors. A majority has , sort of , programmed itself in viewing ZM by default. To pull them to Colors, is not easy task. BB may appeal to a section of the viewers but to move them from the serials on ZM to those on Colors , will need different approach.
Something like call of " Marathi Maati (soil)" will be needed. Famous novels or stories from Marathi , bringing more popular Marathi actors etc.
Something which ZM did more than 15 years ago , to counter the appeal of STAR pravah ( a big name at that time)

Incidentally that reminds me - Ajinkya deo started one marathi channel called Prabhat many years back and it closed the shopt in 2 years.

I honestly feel that cm is not a well organised channel.as u may have seen some artists r changed.stories r changed.some new families get introduced. in theirtmany serials. they r not perticulr with their time slot as before Radha prem.their 9pm slot was a dead slot.before that a serial with Vikram Gokhale was taken off air within 2months I think.
Even their promos r misleading.they allow their actors easily to accept any project.as I remember a serial names kaly tasmai namha.where amol kolhe. he was playing a role of psychaterist and then he got an opportunity to act as a Shivaji on colors hindi.he left ktn show..even their ideas r not original.
And anchors they bring don't have that caliber.for e.g they can definitely have a better choice than tejashree pradhan.even Sandeep Pathak is horrible in tkp and that programme is also have no base.
Zm is much much organised than cm definitely.

I agree with the Marathi soil connect.
Colors needs that.

My guess is different. I think CM does not want to copy ZM by appealing just to the Marathi manus. They are targeting the youth. They cleverly added Shalmali, to the judges team in SNDN along with the middle of the road Avdhoot and the purist Mahesh (who also appeals to the youth). Even BB is targeted at youth. Of course a large chunk of audience is rural (look at how rural serials are doing well on ZM) so CM will have to also appeal to them. But they may try something different even for the rural audience.
If they try to copy ZM they will always be behind ZM like earlier. NS has been brought in probably to be different and attack the top slot systematically with his experience. Though his Harshada Khanvilkar program is BS but it has forced ZM to change the format of HM from it's stale set pattern.
Very interesting to watch these Channel wars.

CM is appying mixture of both - something is copied form ZM (TKP, Prashant Damle for cookery show , Harshada program) and some out of box thinking like BB. They have to take out all the stops to fight ZM dominance. As i already mentioned before channel-wars will benefit viewers. I am sure they must be doing home work to bring thriller series at 10.30pm slot and also they are likely to take clue from success of MNB. *pravah tried to bring youthful serials like lagori or lady oriented serial amhi sahajani etc but no success.
