The depression you are talking about happens after giving birth not during pregnancy.

Just because a woman works doesn't mean she doesn't feel nausea or doesn't feel some physical changes. Some have certain cravings and are more hungry. Some are sensitive to smell or they feel sleepy. I am just saying it is a luxury if you can stay home and have people to care for you which not everyone has. For maternity leave some companies hardly give you six weeks and then you are expected to return to work.

What I mean to say is one shouldn't be so fragile that they need constant care and are not able to do anything themselves. It is great if they are others to help you at home but it is not a requirement that a pregnant woman needs fulltime care from day one. Most husbands are working fulltime so they don't have the luxury of staying at home with their wife when she is pregnant. One should be a little independent. It is actually good to stay physically active when one is pregnant provided you have a healthy pregnancy.

In the show we see lots of dependency on one another and too much is not good. You don't spend 24/7 with your husband the way they are showing. Yes you are a couple but you don't give up everything and lose your individuality. There has to be a balance. Here they show to much clingyness. To me that comes of as being too needy.
