Fatehpur Sikri!
Deewan-e-AamWhere HE addressed his people's pleas.Deewan-e-khaas or Navratna Sabha!Where the man-e-khaas consulted with the best brains of his kingdom..Sitting arrangement of Navratna Sabha! In the center sat Akbar and three members sat on each of the three wings! How could each see the other's face?Personal treasury of the royal family! The empty blocks have hidden closets. Each royal member was given one for safekeeping of their personal belongings.
Interesting to imagine what each closet would have contained.πOffice of Todermal!Divyaaa...πThe Paunch Mahal. The Begums spend their evenings here.With...π³The palace of Ruqaiya Begum!Made of sound proof walls i believe so that her screeches are subdued!πThis is the only girl's school for members of the royal family. The second floor housed the library of the workplace of Abul Fazal and Faizi. And where did the boys study?π€The Anup Talao. The place where Tansen sat and sis his reyaaz. This is also the place where the famous face-off between Tansen and Baiju Bawra took place.
Wow!πAkbar's personal library! He knows to read?π² Probably deputed readers.πAkbar's bedroom!π π³π βΊοΈJodha's kitchen. It is famous for its jhumka panel which has 156 jhumkas and all are different. She had time to cook amongst all her bhaashaning!π²Jodha's palace!Just imagine how strong these walls must be! After having been bombarded by speech after speech on uchith and anuchith, R superiority and sermons to reform the already fine man, opinions asked and unasked but voiced in all big sounding words...yet the walls stay put after 500 years! π²π€£Birbal's palace! He lived within the palace premises! i mean another man living from where he could have a clear view of the ladies buildings. π€The famous Hamam! πππ³π³ βΊοΈβΊοΈJodha's puja ghar!Where Kanha had secret ear muffs!π€£Salim Chistie's dwarfs! Till this date, people tie the dhaga and make three wishes. Akbar had wished for a son, victory over Gujrat and prosperity of his kingdom!βοΈβοΈThe Buland Darwaza, the highest gateway of Asia till this date built by Akbar to remember his victory over Gujrat!ππ
The sea of Lavender stretches as far as the eyes can see,Under the rising sun, the waves sway in the air all merrily!Sitting on a bedecked chair with tea to partake all peacefully,In midst of heady fragrance soothing one's nerves blissfully! The violets and mauves in both dark and light creates felicity,Enjoying the sunrise a heady aroma rises and stirs in vivacity!Aww so beautiful linesSpeaking our minds π³Nodoubt you are multi talented baisa here...who is best in everything ...even in teasing session .πThank you for everything π€
Anindita's Delhi and Agra voyage souvenirs!! First Taj in all its splendour!
Jahangir's Bath tub! She couldn't find Akbar's Bath tub! Said she will look for it in Fatehpur Sikri! π

A Morale Booster for our Author Sahiba..A remix of the Poem "The Stream""I come from haunts of coot and hern,I make a sudden sally
And sparkle out among the fern,
To bicker down a valley. You've come from the hosts of writers in the forumCreated a style that draws everyone near your forearmSparkling out and with so much decorumDelving into the authenticity 'ad infinitum '
By thirty hills I hurry down,
Or slip between the ridges,
By twenty thorpes, a little town,And half a hundred bridges.Thousands of words you write in your updateAll marinated in the syrup of the datesWithout making any delay whatsoeverTaking strain to find and edit pictures apt and properTill last by Philip's farm I flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever. After your first creation of a popular storyYou've successfully continued your fictional historyFor readers may come and readers may goBut you will go on with the adventure of your beau!I chatter over stony ways,
In little sharps and trebles,
I bubble into eddying bays,
I babble on the pebbles. You show your talent in many waysIn your humour, advice and picturesYou do not cross your limits any dayAuthentic and humble in planning as always
With many a curve my banks I fret
By many a field and fallow,And many a fairy foreland setWith willow-weed and mallow. The anxiety and frustration you getUpon seeing the readers' poor responseYou brush aside like a dirt and do not fretBut take up your job and do the next one at once!
I wind about, and in and out,
With here a blossom sailing,
And here and there a lusty trout,
And here and there a grayling,You enjoy even the smallest tributeThat the readers bestow upon youYou've also given us a venue to contributePoems, wishes and comments that are cuteAnd here and there a foamy flakeUpon me, as I travel
With many a silvery water break
Above the golden gravel,And here and there you make referencesThat show your vast knowledge in every sphereYou certainly are firm in your preferencesNever deviate from them for any fear[Note: I remixed this poem for Shyamala Aunty and posted in her B'day thread last year. Here I have made changes suited to our Author Sahiba.]And draw them all along, and flowTo join the brimming river
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever. The count of the "likes" may fluctuateIt is not the yardstick for rating your updateBut your HBAS has drawn all of us hereEach one of us is valued ten times the number! And out again I curve and flowTo join the brimming river,For men may come and men may go,But I go on for ever. And we , your admirers, request as we do alwaysSince we want not to miss your ever,For readers may come and readers may go any day,But we wish you go on writing for us everyday...KK.
Sandy as usual more than brilliant!! πππ So missed your creation all this while! π€Author Sahiba, likewise got reminded of my favourite scene and so dedicate it to you! πThat holds hazards and images pleasant, the well-trodden steps of many a yesteryear! They have stories to tell of love and war, witnessing many a scheme's and plot's atmosphere!Be it summer or winter or Fall or Spring, the steps have been there covered in green or red,Sometimes in orange and yellow carpet, but the mysteries it has seen has been of dread!Where do these steps lead to, can anyone say?An old palace or temple of great impairment? And it is not only malice the steps can think,it has seen stories too of love and endearment.Maybe a fair and beautiful maiden sat on them, deep in thought of her handsome strong beau! And there comes her Knight on his black stallion, looking out for her safety being all thorough! They share pleasantries and wonder what is next, being aware of each other's presence so acutely,The damsel smiles at his concern and flirts merrily,The hunk too doesn't hold back and flirts back astutely! And then comes the menacing danger so suddenly,a venomous red scorpion creeps up slowly unknown to her.The Sahib notices and skips a heartbeat in concern, advises her quietly to sit still and move only at his whisper,For her to move swiftly when asked but as Fate would have,For being an instant late the ominous creature stung him,He took it bravely without a stir or a squeal or any grimace, left saluting her 'Just stay safe Sahiba' and left without a prelim! Thus the steps of forlorn years have many stories to tell,of love and sorrow, of peace and war, of man and child,Amidst the woods and Glenn with coloured foliage as its veil,The path of steps lie awake to view many a valour and wild!To be trodden by one and many all at once or one at a time, adorned in a blue haze and mist or with faint sun's gleam,In a rug of orangish yellow soft fluff of beauty and stupor, narrating the stories of past or making then History supreme!
