Raman had dropped Ishita home
"Will you stay, Arjun has a 2 day trip, hes probably already left "

Raman wouldnt say no to that, for sure
Following her inside, he sat at the table
Ishita looked at the food on the side

"Ill just throw this out, since we already ate"
Dishing it into the bin, she smiled

"Ishita I dont have any"
She blushed
"I took some of your clothes with me, the ones you dont wear, just as something to keep as a reminder"

She had no idea why she was blushing like a new bride, this was Raman, her husband of many years
Raman walked up behind her

Wrapping his arm around her waist, he leaned his chin on her shoulder
"You have no idea how good it is to know youve missed me like I missed you"

Turning in his arms to face him, she stroked his cheek with the back of her fingers
"Lets go to bed"
They had both had a long, emotionally draining day and wanted nothing more than to rest in eachothers embrace

Ishita grabbed her clothes "Ill just go change in the bathroom"
"Why, youre my wife, change here"
"Well the tablets have made me put on weight"

Raman shook his head "Silly woman, like that matters to me"
It was really stupid
But allowing him to pull her clothes off, and dress her made her more comfortable

It had been so long since she had someone to look after her
Raman had changed shortly after and was now holding out his arms for her

Slipping into bed, she rested her head on his chest, just listening
Glad he was here with her

Her eyes closed quickly
Raman kissed her hair
He knew tonight would be a night without nightmares

Because there was nothing Ishita couldnt save him from
Not even his nightmares or his rough sleeping patterns could win against her

But like she had saved him many a time, he hoped he could save her to

Apologies for no updates over the past 2 days, I had a lot of revision to do for an exam I have tomorrow
So I wrote this and one other part for each other story I had, (I have 6) at 1am in the morning, saturday!

Wish me luck on my exam! If I pass I will update, if not then I probably wont
I have tried to keep all my stories I have updated today as joyous as possible because I have kept you all waiting.

Raman walked downstairs to see Ishiat standing in the kitchen cooking
Her hair was up in a messy bun and she was wearing his shirt

Clearing his throat, she jumped and turned towards him
"Good morning" and just like that, with one simple smile, the sun had returned in his life

"Try this" holding her hand out, she fed him
He nipped at her finger, making her giggle
"Its amazing, ive missed your cooking"

Ishita sat down at the table, putting some food on both plates, she began to eat
It was strange how much better she had felt already
She put it down to Raman's presence

"You never could eat properly"
Before Ishita could reply, Raman had moved the crumb off her lip with his thumb
The action of him licking his thumb after

Made Ishita feel very hot
"What would you like to do today"
"I dont care as long as youre with me"

She liked this, Raman usually wasnt so open about his feelings, sure he flirted but sentimental stuff wasnt his thing
Unless they were alone

Ishita reached out, taking his hand
"Raman"
"Hm"
"Can you just uh"
She could feel her face heating up

"Ask me, whats to be shy about"
"Will you just hold me, this kind of feels like a dream and I need to know youre here"

Raman didnt need to be asked twice
Standing up, he walked with her to the living room
Sitting down, he pulled her to him

Putting her legs up, she rested her head on him
His arms wrapped around her
"Never be afraid to ask me these kind of things, you shouldnt have had to ask, I should have just known"

"It feels so good to have you here with me"
Raman smirked "Whats a punjabi without his madrasan "

Arjun stepped out of his car, spinning his key around his finger
He unlocked the door

"Ishita"
Ishita walked forward "here, the flowers are for you"
"Thank you Arjun"

Raman sat at his laptop, reading all the files on Arjun
His eyes widened
He had to get to Ishita now

He knew there was something wrong with Arjun but he didnt realise how wrong

Arjun slipped the injection out of his pocket, as she turned, he stuck it into her arm
"Arjun" she asked confused
Falling back into his arms, he picked her up

Taking her outside, he sat her in the front seat
He looked at his phone, videos of Raman and Ishita at the house played
Switching his phone off he started the car

The car jolted as Raman slapped his hands on the car window
Arjun pushed his foot down
Driving forward he knocked Raman down and drove away


Raman groaned, his head bloody
Trying to move, he looked up, his eyes closing slowly

Arjun reveresed, going over Raman's body again before driving away
