Part 5
Next morning Raman woke with the alarm of his phone , he opened his eyes lazily but got up soon recalling that he has to go and meet ishita . He immediately left the bed and went to washroom for completing his morning chores . After about one hour he left his room and made his way towards the hospital. On the way he stopped to have his breakfast but looking to south Indian delicacies he recalled the past when they ,he and ishita use to fight over their cuisines . Ishita always praise south Indian food while Raman praises Punjabi food . Recalling about Ishita he didn't had his breakfast there but get it packed for both of them ,then made his way towards the hospital.
Soon he reached to hospital and then to ishita's ward ,he reached to ishita's bed but got surprised not getting her . He looked here and there but she was not visible ,he then went out and asked to the nurse about ishita ,she too checked and found that the attendant has taken her for freshening . Raman waited for sometimes then saw the attendant was bringing Ishita holding her hand while she was walking behind her as a lifeless body ,his eyes got moist seeing her condition. He was still looking at her when they reached to ishita's bed . The attendant gave him a weird look as she don't know him while Raman got up from his place and spoke " good morning ish ".
Ishita looked at him and then was about to sit when Raman held her hand and spoke " not here ,chal mere cabin mein ."
Ishita saw him as if trying to understand him while the attendant spoke " who are you and where you want to take her ,at first go and take permission from sister ."
Raman introduced himself ,the attendant got silent while Raman informed that he is taking her to his cabin and from now onwards he will treat Ishita .The attendant didn't spoke anything while Raman encircled his arms around ishita and started walking out of the ward ,talking to her . She was not responding but was listeming to him silently .Soon they reached to his cabin ,as it was early that his usual time ,no patient was there . He took her inside the cabin and spoke making her sit " see what I brought for you ".
She didn't responded ,but looked at him when he spoke " tujhe pata hai ish you look too cute and innocent when you see like this ".again no response . At first he was feeling too void ,not getting any response but now he is ok as the feeling that she is with him is enough . Raman had already brought disposable utensils with him ,he served idlies and maduvada with chutney and shambhar for them ,then asked " these are your favorites na ".
Ishita saw the food then him and gave a slight smile to him while he smiled fully and started feeding her . She without any struggle started eating with his hands while Raman too started eating in between and was talking to her about their days . They completed their breakfast then Raman asked ," hey ish ,chal coffee liya jaaye and this time I will win ."
She didn't said anything but made an angry pout for which Raman smiled on her act as well as got happy knowing she is responding him . He then ordered two coffee for them and then called vandu to talk about his and ishita's marriage . He talked to vandu and she told that she is coming after sometimes then they will go together and will take elders permission .Till he was talking their coffee arrived. Raman took his and passed her in front of her . She moved her eyeball and looked at him while he took the cup and saucer and teaches her to drink coffee . She didn't responded again ,he smiled and teaches again .She still was looking at him while he had his sip abd spoke " ish you will loose ,either start drinking ."
Saying so he again had another sip ,and signalled her to drink ,ishita slowly opened her hand and tried to reach her cup ,he noticed that her hands were shivering ,he held her hand ,she looked at him ,he signalled her to pick the cup ,she held the cup with his help and took a sip ,she had very small sip as it was hot and then shook her head negatively saying she can't have more but Raman made her drink the whole coffee .
The he made her sit in the couch and started attending his patients as it was his visiting hours . Ishita was noticing all the patients thoroughly and was all silent . That's when a lady was brought who was too aggressive ,two of the men were holding her tightly and she was struggling with both of them . Raman signalled the men to make her sit ,they did same ,Raman went near her and asked something when she picked the paper weight and hit him . He got a deep cut in his forehead and blood started oozing out from him . Seeing the blood ishita started shouting , curling her in herself . Raman instructed the attendant to admit the lady and went to ishita holding his wound while blood was still oozing ,Ishita curled herself little more and shouted again pushing him away from herself . Raman was not understanding why she is behaving like this while Ishita was go on shouting ,two attendant come and hold her too ,tried to take her away but he stopped and went out .
Raman got his wound bandaged ,wiped all the blood stains from his face and then went to ishita who was going on crying . He felt bad seeing her crying like that while he got to know that she was scared of blood as she has witnessed three deaths in front of her eyes . He sat beside her and caressed her face lovingly ,she saw him and then hugged him tight . He too hided her in him wiping all her tears ,soon her sobs lessen ,seeing him all ok . Raman cleaned her teary face ,removed all the hair strands from her face and kissed her temple softly while she snuggled more into him . They were busy in themselves when someone knocked the door . Raman opened the door and saw its vandu ,he called her in . Vandu saw ishita and talked to her ,though ishita didn't talked but responded moving her eyeballs ,what surprise vandu was ishita's comfort with Raman . She can easily notice ishita's ease with him . Soon vandu took permission from the authorities and took ishita home with Raman.
They reached vandu home ,there vandu introduce Raman with her family members . They saw him with suspicious eyes when Raman stood from his place and spoke " uncle I want to marry ishita ".
Vandu father - what are you saying ,how can we marry ,our sick daughter to a stranger .
R- I m not stranger but ishita knows me well ,even vandita also know about me .
Vandu's father- vandu did you know him.when did you met him ?
V- yes appa ,I hadn't saw him before but know about him . He is ishita's best friend and ...
VF- and what kanna .
V- and ishu always loved him .
VF- what !
V- yeah appa ,but they don't know about each others love , as they never talked about it to each other but now Raman has confessed that he too love her and even after knowing about ishu's mental state he wants to marry her .
VF- but vandu how can we send our daughter with an unknown person . though she is not in very good condition but still she is in front of our eyes .He is telling that he will take her from here , then how we will know about her wellbeing .
R- you don't worry uncle ,I love her a lot and will take good care of her .she will be happy and safe with me .
V- haan appa and he too is a psychratist and ishu is responding to him ,may be she will cure early in his presence .
VF- listen gentleman ,though ishu is not my daughter but not less than that . we are very sorry for her state and feel guilty for not able to save her parents but we love her a lot . you have to promise me that you will take good care of her .
R- I too love her a lot ,no matter in which condition she is ,I will keep her safe and secure . .
VF- but still the problem is ,we don't know anything about you .
R- I m Dr Raman kumar bhalla ,a well known psychiatrist from Delhi .Here I s to attend a conference and as a visitor doctor in ishita's hospital. you can also google about me .
Vandita's father nodded and checked about Raman ,after getting satisfied the elders agreed for ishra marriage and started preparation for same while ishita was unknown about the happenings of her life .
